    Anyone remember a member...

Not sure if he still posts. Twin turbo dark green fox stang with a 331 and fr500 wheels? I havent posted in a while, but he had a website detailing his build and I wanted to ask him some questions on how it is running a year after the fact. Believe he was a marine.

    Stalling when downshifting, suggestions?

I was thinking IAC/TPS as well, both are old and it wouldnt hurt to check them.

    Stalling when downshifting, suggestions?

hahaha it definately isnt oil. I run mobil 1 synth and I check it religiously. I havent pulled the codes yet, but the funny thing is, the check engine light will come on very rarely, but then go off and stay off, yet the problem will occur with the light off. I'm going to start going...

    Stalling when downshifting, suggestions?

I do have a small surging idle, so I still have to go through the checklist, but what sensor controls keeping the RPM's up when depressing the clutch to change gears? During downshifting or when coming to a stop at say, a toll booth, the car drops the rpm's very low, and at times just flat...

    Front Sway Bar Mounts

Bending it back was a thought, but the metal has already been stretched and stressed. Fabrication was an option I considered.

    Front Sway Bar Mounts

Hey all, quick problem. The previous owner of the stang tried to tow the car (we have lots of fields around here) by the front swaybar (I assume). I come to this conclusion because the front left sway bar mount is bent forward AND the endlink is also bent pretty bad. I have ordered...

What Paint Does The Pros Use ?

In order of Quality from lowest to highest of the "good" paints that I know of PPG Dupont HOK Always stay with 1 system of paints though, as they are chemically matched. Also you want to try and get your ENTIRE color range at one time from the same batch. Most paints should have a batch...

    Clutch Quadrant help

Ok, I have the old quadrant off, the springs off, the new quadrant on. My question is, the old springs used to return the clutch pedal up to the normal position. With the new quadrant, is the clutch cable now what keeps tension on the pedal??? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean...

    smoke

white smoke normally = coolant black = fuel blueish = oil You said you just replaced your head gasket, but check the coolant again. My gf's old Tbird blew headgasket after headgasket (ford's legendary 3.8 motor, aka the headgasket killer).

    Power door lock power source

Hah, my power locks don't work either because the previous owner removed the actuators. So before you check all your wiring, make sure you even have them.:)

best bang 4 buck on $2000?

With that budget, mid 11's may only be possible with a good H/C/I combo, and taking most all the weight off the car that you can. Not even sure how much of a combo you can build up, unless you found some deals, did some work yourself. Maybe a ported explorer intake from the old salvage yard...

    Transmission Photo's Please

Okay, if someone would do me a small favor and post a picture of where to check the fluid on a T5 tranny. So I know where to look when I get a chance to crawl under my car. It is a dumb question I know, but I'm still learning about the transmission.

    Anyone done their own headliners?

A few addendums. Get a wire brush, it helps take the old foam material off. Use 3m 90 strength spray glue (green can). Its like 2x as expensive at Joanne's as it is at Home Depot, so go to HD for it.
