    Ford buyback procedure

I'm not sure of the buyback procedure, but I had the same problem with my 06 leaking. Fortunately, I had found on the internet people with the same problem whose dealers discovered a weld was missed or bad near the firewall during production. My car went into the dealer's body shop for a few...

    window issue

First thing that popped in my head was maybe the windows need to be re-calibrated. Although I haven't heard of this problem specifically, I know others have had to reset their's due to the way the windows drop when you open the doors. I think the procedure is in the owner's manual. If not...

    DYNOED BRENSPEED AND BAMA TODAY

Actually, reducing rotational mass does increase your RWHP. The lighter mass of the drivetrain increases the "efficiency" of the drivetrain, meaning less of your engine's power is used to rotate the drivetrain and more of it is delivered to the road. Perhaps an oversimplified example can...

    DYNOED BRENSPEED AND BAMA TODAY

Although the above statement is commonly taken as truth, I have to disagree. While you may not actually see the difference on a dyno because it is so small, if all other factors are held constant, these do affect power at the rear wheels (obviously an engine dyno wouldn't be affected by...

    pinging on hard shifts

No doubt, I was really impressed by how much the tune woke my car up. Now I just need a blower..... and the money to run the higher octane fuel :)

    pinging on hard shifts

While no doubt a good tune would fix him up, it's sad that is the advice is so commonly given here. I love my new Stang, but I shouldn't have to get an aftermarket tune to have it run right from the factory. But I digress as I've learned most new cars have their problems. It just frustrates...

    pinging on hard shifts

Why is it you consider 87 octane ****ty fuel? I understand the advantages of high octane fuel, if your car is set-up to run it. But if you can get away with running 87, you're just throwing your money away on buying high octane fuel when it is not needed.

    Can anyone tell me

What's everyone's thought on that stock dyno chart? I've seen several and the thing that always jumps out at me is all the peaks and valleys along the curve. I know when I was having my old 5.0 tuned, the tuner was big on getting the curve to be smooth, which I believe basically meant the...

    ford x-plan on mustang?

I used X-plan on my 2006 GT. I'd have to go look at my sticker though to see how much below sticker price it put me.

    2005 Mustang Dead Battery Problem??

I'm sick of all these little problems that keep popping up in my 06 GT. I'm working out of state right now, so my car sits for long periods at work (in the parking garage) while I am gone. My car sat for 3-4 weeks and started up fine. Then, after sitting for just about a week, I came back...

Quality of 2005+ Mustangs? (versus 2004)

My 06 is certainly stiffer than my 1990 5.0 (even with subframe connectors) and the 04 GT I've been in. While it is an improvement over previous years, it still doesn't meet my expectations. I have under 8K miles on my 06, and while it is fun to drive, it already rattles, the interior was...

    Condensation on Inside of Windshield

Unfortunately, I am basically moving for work for the net 5 months and am leaving the Stang behind, so I won't have a chance to really ge to the bottom of this. The dealership has already fixed a leak in the car, which caused the passenger floorboard to get wet when it rained or when I washed...

    Condensation on Inside of Windshield

Thanks for all the replies guys. There is not a ton of ice inside, but after letting the Stang sit for two weeks, it seemed like it had let it build up a little. I had to literally get a rag and wipe up the dripping water that was on my dash after the car had sat for two weeks. This was by...

    Condensation on Inside of Windshield

My brain isn't clicking tonight. Can you explain why this could cause what I'm experiencing?

    Condensation on Inside of Windshield

Alright, as the weather got colder here I knew I would have to start scraping my windows, but when I'd get in the car, I noticed there was ice/condensation inside the car. I don't ever remember having that problem on other vehicles I've owned. Now, after not driving the car a couple weeks...

Ever put your pony in a stable?

I'd personally sell it too, but if your set on keeping it, I'd research a little more about how to properly prepare a car for long term storage. You'll probaly find varying opinions on how to do this, so I'd spend some time researching other sites so that you're making an informed decision.

    Gas guage innacurate?????

You get a low fuel warning light that comes on telling you there are 50 miles left on your current tank. I assume that 50 miles takes into account your past mpg, but even if it doesn't, 50 miles should be enough to get you to a gas station in most circumstances.

Couple things I don't like about my Mustang

I ran into two problems... 1). I ordered the parts off ebay, and it doesn't look like the spacing between the inserts matches my seats. Did you run into this? Maybe I need to make sure I re-order from the link you posted. 2). How in the heck do you get them on? I've got the tab pushed...

    2005/2006 big block

Man, tough crowd in here. I think the big block idea is cool, although I wouldn't have the money to tackle such a job. It used to be somewhat common to stuff a 460 in the fox chassis, but I haven't heard of it being done on a new stang yet.
