    almost sounds like your going to have to pull apart your console and make sure nothing is bent of pushed out of place, I used to have a pic of what things are supposed to look like but unfortunately I'm at work and can't find it...... other than that it could be bent shifter linkage.......

    Hey mine used to have a bad attitude where I would work fine for months! then it would go right to empty or it would be full and old read half a tank, or be completely bone dry and read 1/4! lol There have always been ghosts in the machine! :rolleyes:

    If you have run 3 months without problems then I don't think you should have to pull the heads just pull the rocker covers repace the push-rods (all of them) with a new set of hardened pushrods and see if the problem goes away, if not then pull the head.
