    The rears seats haven't come in leather from the factory since around 1997. Changing them from leather was one of many "cost cutting" steps the bean counters did to the Mustang around then. Of course, the leather seating option price didn't drop a single penny either.

    You might want to check out one of the after-market leather suppliers. You might be able to buy some nice front seats in "cheap" vinyl or cloth, and then upgrade the new front seats and stock rears, with the same matching after-market leather.

    Gosh, it would be a lot of work. The 'vert has a much different rear seat. The 'vert has a one piece back which doesn't fold, and the entire seat is narrower due to the thicker side panels.

    In '96, all of the GT upgrades (interior, fogs, spoiler, etc) were put into option package #3. If one ordered a GT without option package #3, it was essentially just like the '95 GTS (GT Stripped). It is easy to ID these, by the GT having the base V6 style interior.
