    Weird noise???

    FYI - I googled the TSB's. I saw one about control arm bushings and on about steering rack bracket and/or bushing. My problem is definitely more of a crunching sound than a squeal. Crap, I wonder how much this is gonna cost. :nonono:

    A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that me car started making a weird noise. It seems to only happen when I'm making right hand turns at low speed. It's sorta like a scraping noise or scratching noise...sorta like when you brake pads are gone. I've also noticed it sometimes when I'm backing out...

    They are about $200. Gotta love those friggin dealer service places. I had a bad fuel pump, but they wouldn't even look at my car b/c I have underdrive pulleys. kcuf the dealers.

    I had the same problem, but I moved my weight to the floor in the back seat and it's alot better. Rear end doesn't sag as much and it's alot more stable. Probably some kind of "center of gravity" thing.

    Verdict on snow tires...

    I barely made it home last night...took me over 2.5 hours to make my usual 40 min commute. Drove my wife's Escape to work today. It's great in the snow and doesn't even have 4WD. Now I'm seriously considering the snow tires with steelies!
