    How long you had the KDW2s? How come you didn't get Michelins? My stock Gatorbacks cost more per tire than any of those (including my Pirellis) and they sucked, so I think you have to take into account more than just the price tag.

    I tend to agree...my Dad had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on his 2000 Mustang GT Conv. I drove it a few times so I was able to compare with my Pirellis...didn't think the Michelins were worth $85 more per tire.

    Reason I bought my Pro 5.0 was that I was missing third alot when shifting fast. Haven't missed it since. I thought that the only reason to get an aftermarket shifter was to shift faster, more accurately than stock.

    Winter driving: How much weight should I put in the trunk?

    I've got Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S and last year I put 200lbs on the floor in the back seat. That worked better than putting it in the trunk. Still was not fun. I'd recommend you get a set of snow tires. If I could do it again, I woulda bought a set of wet/dry tires and a set of snow tires...
