wat does the neg. battery cable connect to?

As far as i know, yes it can. A lot of people sometimes connect it to the front of the head too. A ground is a ground... :)

wat does the neg. battery cable connect to?

I believe the small wire coming off the negative battery cable connects to the fender at the same location as he main ECU ground...behind the battery and near the starter solenoid. The main negative connects to the block as jerryD already mentioned... :)

    Alternator power cable.

Good advice...just a couple of corrections... The 2 10 gauge leads join up to a 8ga black/orange about 6" from the alternator plug. From there, it runs in front of the radiator, and meets up with the yellow sense/switch line from the voltage regulator, and both of those are spliced to a...

need help with Gears--buying tomorrow, also o2 sensors, and exhaust question

Well, to answer your O2 question, the car will run without them, but it's a vital sensor for the ECU to adjust fuel/air ratios. It doesn't matter if you have an off road H/X pipe, or a catted one, you still us them, and the new pipe will come with the bungs for them. Also, I wouldn;t just get...

    H-Pipe/X-Pipe Suggestions

IMO, you can't beat the fit or qaulity of a stainless steel Bassani X pipe... The horsepower differences between any of the common pipes, including the prochamber should be nothing you notice...

    Locking header bolts?

I realize this, but my new FRPP headers with a thick flange came with .75" bolts. I ordered 1" long ones because I heard the FRPP headers came with longer bolts, and had to return them. I called the FRPP line, and they told me they did not recommend it, but it *may* work... I know some...

Best sounding mufflers on a 5.0

The "best" sound is relative. Each person has their own preference, so something that may sound great to one person, sounds like crap to another. That being said, I'm very happy how my car sounds with the GT40 intake / heads, FRPP ceramic headers, SS Bassani OR X, and flowmaster 3 chambers...

    Locking header bolts?

1" may work, but .75" is stock length. Be careful not to screw up the threads with a longer bolt... IMO, locking bolts are a waste of $$$ anyhow... If you simply snug them up a few times after a few heating/cooling cycles, they will stay put. I used ARP 12 point SS header bolts, and they...

hose kits: FMS or Good year?

The GY hose kit comes with all the same hoses the FMS one does now. The heater hoses are trim to fit, but they are now included. It used to be you would get everything but the heater hoes, but they fixed that. You get all the hoses with both kits...

    BBK x-pipe any good?

The Magnaflow X's are pretty nice, but they do have fitment issues. Most people need to spread them apart somehow to have them match up to the headers. If you are going to go OR, the Bassani SS X can be had for under $300...

    BBK x-pipe any good?

I suppose you could coat them, but that would be super expensive. The best thing you can do is to try to hose off the undercarriage whenever it's above freezing. After the season, just run through one of those automatic car washes and get the undercarriage wash. I'm up here in NH, and I...

hose kits: FMS or Good year?

Agreed, except I wish they would lose that light blue color in favor of a dark blue like the GY hoses...

    BBK x-pipe any good?

You guys should try driving your stangs in the winter... Salt eats aluminized pipe FAST... ;)

    BBK x-pipe any good?

I've got to go ahead and disagree there. BBK is good stuff, but it's simply not Bassani level IMO. The Bassani X's come in three pieces, fit perfect the first time, and most importantly, they are stainless steel with a LIFETIME warranty. "Pipe is pipe" is a bit oversimplified IMO... :)

is the hi-miler hose kit any good?

I can tell form the fact you are using OEM heater hoses that you bought those, like I did, back when they didn't give you molded heater hoses, just a couple loops of heater hose that was essentially useless... ;)

How to know when to change O2 sensors...

Cost too much? Brand new Bosch units are only $39...$80 every 60K-80K doesn't seem like much to me for the money saved on gas mileage... But pretty much like you said, they slowly become less and less effective the more miles that are on them...

hose kits: FMS or Good year?

The Goodyear hoses are normal rubber hoses with a blue outer silicon jacket. The heater core hoses on the GY kit are somewhat molded, but need to be trimmed to fit, and the kit DOES NOT come with hose clamps. The FMS kit are pure silicon hoses, the heater hoses are molded for direct fit, and...

Power Wire Upgrade w/ Alternator Install

No problem... Just an FYI though...if it's a remanufactured Ford one, then it's probably still only a 75A unit...even though the guy said it was 100A.
