i used the 4awg wire and 200amp ANL fuse i already had inplace hooked up to my sub amp (jbl 1200.1) since i have no subs, i yanked the wire out of the car and put connectors on each end, on to the hot side of the starter solenoid and the other to the back of the alt....
the same thing is happening to my car, and im only getting EGR codes, as i have an explorer upper intake, so the egr doesnt work anyway.... im thinking its my TFI module or the electronic pickup inside the distributor...
you cant just take the back half off, you have to press out the pin off the block where the shifter sits on, then you have to take off the top cover, even if you remove all the bolts that little pin on the shifter will hold the tranny together.
i agree with the latest...( i should be more optimistic) get an experienced helper (or you be the helper) and watch closely to what is being done, i'm sure you can pick it up.
OT: instead of just putting on an off road pipe then waiting when your smog/registration comes up....cant you just smog the car before you put on the "non-smog equipment" so you have a valid smog check on your dmv papers so you can just reg the car? you can smog the car whenever you want before...
