    Changing tranny oil questions

I wouldn't snake a hose to the shifter either :rlaugh: I might snake a hose to the filler hole though. Ford used Mobil 1 as the factory fill, or should we say overfill, in the Tremec 3650 back in '03 - '04, and maybe before that as well. Tremec's recommendation at that time was to drain...

    Changing tranny oil questions

When I change mine again, I'll probably snake some tubing from the engine compartment down to the fill hole on the 3650 and use a funnel from the topside. I used 3.0L (about 3.2 quarts) based on Tremec's recommended quantity to re-fill mine through the open shifter hole the first time I changed...

    Tuner?

I'm in favor of that myself, but finding places to run on the street at WOT can be a challenge in some cities.

    Tuner?

Dyno information is still very useful though to see what effect your tunes are having, i.e. are they helping or hurting performance. Also, you need wideband O2 datalogging capability (readily available from several vendors) to properly create your own tunes.

Got my 3.73 put in today!!!

They can't correct your speedometer with their tuner unless they divorce their car from it and restore their stock tune to their vehicle. You can only use a tuner on one vehicle at a time.

    rear gear question

i have read posts from '03 - '04 automatic owners who had re-calibration problems with SpeedCal devices. No such issues however with 5-speeds.

    rear gear question

The only ones that can't give you a straight answer are the ones who are repeating horror stories they've "heard" about gears and gas mileage woes. Truth is 4.10's are the all-around perfect street gear. I have them myself, and they don't kill your gas mileage, they give you a nice...

    Tuner?

A Diablo or SCT flash tuner might typically get you an additional 10-12 HP. They are a worthwhile investment since, in addition to tuning they can also adjust your speedometer/odometer for rear gear changes, datalog engine performance parameters, read/clear DTC's, etc.

Fortunately, taste is highly subjective, and who gives a rat's azz about "cool"

    Quick Diablosport question.

The quality of the tune does directly relate to whether you use a Diablo or a SCT tune. What matters is the skill and experience of the person developing the tune, and in the right hands, either Diablo or SCT software can give you excellent results.

Sylvania 9145 Bulb for fog lights?

Another suggestion I saw once was to use a straw to remove the two hard-to-get-at screws in the top of the fog light brackets once they are loosened. Specifically, a McDonalds straw; supposedly it's just the right fit for the screw heads. Also can use the straw to restart them. I didn't do...
