    Yes, the generic performance tunes loaded on it will work for all '99-'04 models (except the the '03-'04 Cobra and the '04 V6).

    A good HID retrofit kit will incorporate relays in the wiring harness, and draw power for the HID ballasts directly from the battery. That way your stock headlight wiring harness and switch need only operate the relays rather than have to supply the up to 50W of initial start-up power a ballast...

    That sounds reasonable. Also, if you look around, you might be able to find a Mach 1 with 30,000 to 40,000 miles in the $18K range; not that much more price-wise.

    50 miles is nothing, enjoy the drive. I drive a little over 50 miles round-trip to work every day, and the closest dyno shop to me (that I would trust) is probably 30 miles away.

    +1 You should be able to find a auto Mach 1 with 40,000 miles or so in the $17K to $18K range with some looking. A auto GT with 30,000 miles or so should be do-able for around 15K. EDIT*** PS stangkid87, thank you for your service ***
