OK, Jim. You answered me on another site about a cam question. Do YOU or VTCompEng have what was(is) called the VTSTG2SC and VTSTG3SC blower cams? They list those presently. I need cams soon! What are the specs on your "Stage II and III blower cams. Their 224/236, .540/.505 112* (Stage II)...

    VT company issues discussion

You can see who VT Engines was and who VT Competition Engine Development is by going to vtcompetitionengines.com/history.html. It will tell you what happened, who is running things now, etc. I talked to Scott at VT Competition yesterday and they sell the VT grinds as well as new grinds they...

Putting 47mm Intake Valves in PI Heads?

You said what I believe to be true. Just wanting some feedback here. The 46.8mm stainless valves are just SVO valves and are the same dimensions everywhere but the diameter. Sean Hyland says they can "replace" the stock valve. I think it is just grinding the seat to receive it with the...

    4.10s 3.73s or 3.55s?

Agree..........go with 3.73. I run through the lights at about 6000rpm in 4th gear----perfect! (Come to Tulsa and hook 'em up with me. I just ran a 12.09 115mph with my 2000GT before the track closed for the season! Have Mickey Thompson 26X10.50-15LT ET Streets).

New to the Forum. Is it Civil Here??

Yeah, I have kids the age of most of these guys! It doesn't matter the age though. People are people. You've got old wise guys and young wise guys. I will just let the lights at the end of the strip do my talking for me on Fridays and Saturdays. I get along great with them. My two sons...

    Dyno Brand hp Results thread??

As I've said elsewhere here, I'm new to the forum and may not know where to look. I haven't seen it though. Is there a thread on dynamometer brands versus the hp readings they give? I.e., Mustang Chassis Dyno, DynoJet, etc.? I'd like to read or start one. I looked through the Dyno thread...

Yeah, but since I'm from the 60's and those pushrosd muscle cars, I was surprised how much mod-motor parts cost! Man!!

New to the Forum. Is it Civil Here??

Thanks! That's already better than what I'm used to. I'll try to figure out how to post a sig pic here and describe my setup. I may need one of my kids to help me. I'm 58 yrs old; six kids, 5 G'kids. Time to get back on the streets/strip. I have a 2000GT (only 18K miles), 4.6 2V, alum...

New to the Forum. Is it Civil Here??

Hi. I'm new to the forum. I'm a grandpa getting back onto the track on weekends and have built my first mod motor in my 2000GT. I finished it in time for two weekend test'n'tune runs and got a 12.09/115mph with my 2v. I've been participating in another forum, but have to read through a lot...

    first 4.6 build help.

I understand your dilemna. I made my first posts in this forum today because the forum I've been in is full of guys who just want to trash talk and criticize. Just like this thread, they don't read all the replies first. They just jump in. Ignore them. Every now and then you get a good...

Putting 47mm Intake Valves in PI Heads?

I'm new here, and just wanting to see if I can get better information here than the site where I have been. Hi. I'm going to be installing some new cams and springs soon. I have PI heads which have been ported and polished (not CNC) and want to put in the 46.8mm stainless intake valves...

NEW HERE AND NEED ADVICE ON CAMS..

I'm new to this forum, so I feel like I've wandered into somebody's living room. But......I'm buying cams now and have been on a search for awhile. I'm already s/c'd (2000GT with P1SC Procharger). You will need a "blower cam" which will work as a gentleman on your N/A for now. VT Competition...
