    will 93 t-5 bellhousing work?

so if i have a t5 out of a 93 then i use the fox bellhousing? Is the input shaft a different length between the two transmissions? I guess i'm a little confused as to what the difference is - i looked into a lakewood bellhousing as a last resort - and they list one part number for 86-95 -...

    will 93 t-5 bellhousing work?

i tried to search the forums, but "bellhousing" is too long of a word evidently and i got an error. Anyway - 94-95 t5 bellhousing's are scarce - what happens if i can get my hands on a 93? WHat is the difference? Are there issues w/ teh driveshaft length as well? (driveshaft is from...

E303 cam advance off?? Any help? thanks

a lot of cams supposedly have 4* of advance built into them, but installing the cam w/ zero degrees of advance/retard is still considered "straight up". MM&FF printed an article recently where they tested a combo on the dyno with a cam at -4, 0 and +4 degrees. It also was a cam that had 4*...

    4cyl to 302 Conversion

there are a lot of discussions on this topic in these forums. This comes up frequently. Have you tried to search the forums? I don't know of a "tell it all" website on this, but there is a lot of info on the web on this type of swap, if you try to do a google search, you may find a lot there...

mm&ff head test - intake too small?

I recently picked up the MM&FF that tests several aftermarket heads such as Ebrock vic jr., Trick Flow R, AFR 205, Brodix M2's, etc. Initially, they ran the heads on a 408 w/ solid cam (around [email protected] i think) and super victor intake. They had piston to valve clearance issues, and for some...

    Expert Engine Builders!

the pistons will rock slightly even in a freshly rebuilt shortblock - although it is usually difficult to discern w/ the naked eye. If your piston to cylinder clearance is too great then when the motor is cold, it will sound strange at idle, kind of like a diesel engine. That noise is the...

    Poll....best Bolt-on For Under $500

tmoss - yeah i meant 280 FWHP - which is still an admirable goal. No chance of RWHP . . . I'm an old-schooler i guess - HP to me always means flywheel.

    Poll....best Bolt-on For Under $500

this is probably cheating - but assuming you already have gears/exhaust - how bout self port lower intake ($50 for cutters), mass air meter, cam, and valve springs? Could probably sneak that in for $500 with gaskets. With a good cam and a lower intake that flows as good as the upper stock...

    edelbrock 2.02 w/stock pistons???

you shouldn't have any valve clearance probs - but the valve relief in the stock piston is too small if you got w/ a cam that has a lot of lift or duration. If you swap the cam, you should check piston to valve clearance. Most people are able to run .500 lift cams w/ no trouble though.
