Water temp. How hot is too hot?

The temperature depends on how much pressure you can sustain in your cooling system. If its running good still its probably fine. Blown head gaskets usually become apparent pretty quickly.

    Filling up with gas...

That usually happens if someone has replaced the tank and not installed the vent tube properly. Thats just weird on a new car though...

    Ordered my TC today...

I don't really have a place in S'toon, but I can work on it at my parents house in Three Hills, assuming the transmission holds together for the 5 hour drive home. So yeah, hopefully I get it swapped out over xmas break, and if not I guess I'll ride the bus back to stoon...

    Ordered my TC today...

I ordered my new torque converter today, from Edge, 3000 stall. I'm thinkin with that, an overhaul, a shift kit and some more goodies it should be pretty fun. Theres nothing quite like spending money you dont have.

Thats pretty cool, but what would really be impressive is if you could hold that rim there without your hands.

    351 heads on a 302

Are the bushings really required? I'm asking because I installed mine without them, and just used the regular head bolts with hardened washers. Problems yet.

    Price of going faster!

I have over 15K in mine, (canadian granted...) This winter she gets a rebuilt and improved AOD, maybe a tear drop scoop. And of course a million little things too... I don't think its the worst way to spend money. Maybe not the greatest investment, but its better than drugs...:rlaugh:

What do Canadians really think about guns for self-defence?

I pretty much agree with what everyone else said. I still find it strange that some Americans are allowed to carry concealed weapons. I mean, come on, its not the wild west anymore.

    70 Torino worth picking up?

My dad has a 70 Torino GT, 351 cleveland 4 bbl, 4 speed. They are real nice lookin cars, but they are big and heavy. You might want more than a 302... I heard a prediction a couple years ago that they were going to go up in popularity as muscle cars...

    avoiding heat inside car

Use insulation or carpet underlay. I'm not sure what dynomat would do. Isnt that for sound deadening? I've heard eliminating the heater core does wonders. I guess I'm not a real expert on this as I want to keep all my heat. Its -20 C with the wind here today. brrrr.

    Winter Storage tips

I believe that bit about setting a battery on a concrete floor is a myth. It originated in the days when batteries had glass plates in them. If you set one of these batteries down too hard, on concrete or not, the plates would break and ruin the battery. Just my opinion.
