Late Model Master Cylinder in 65

I have the '93 Cobra, 15/16 MC on my '65. I got it from Street or Track - Street or Track Aluminum Master Cylinder Conversion Kit Works great for my set up. The thing to be careful with is the piston bore size. Do you know what size is in your existing MC? Tim

    road racers 65/6 cars

Thanks! The wheels are 17x8 with 4.75 BS, but the rear tires are 245/45/17. I have a Lincoln Versailles rear, so it doesn't quite translate to a stock rear. I'm using a 1/4" spacer right now, so I'm sure I can fit 255/40/17 with my next tire order. Tim

    66 coupe electrical issues

The battery is new and all interior lights, ect work correctly, right? I think the battery is fine. The alternator is new and has not even come into play yet, as it will just recharge your battery as you drive. If the problem was with the coil or distrubuter, the car would turn over, just...

How to install a second Water Temp Gauge on a 66 289 (Sunpro CP7983)

Okay, your picture reminds me that I used the water jacket port for my water temperature sender when I removed my heater hose. Sorry, I forgot about that. The part you linked looks interesting. It will work once the thermostat is open, but until then you will not be receiving true engine...

What coolant temperature for a 347 stroker?

What should be my target engine coolant temperature for a 347 stroker? I've got a 180* thermostat and a good electric fan. When the fan comes on it will drop the temperature 8*. I can set the electric fan to come on when ever I want. Right now I have the fan set up to come on at 200*...

OK, if it is a dedicated track car, that is trailered to the track, I would go with Kuhmo V-710 or Nitto NT-01's. I pick up Kuhmo V-710's used, but still showing the groves, in 225/40/17 and 245/40/17 cheap. I'm trying to convience my wife that I need dedicated track wheels. Tim

How to install a second Water Temp Gauge on a 66 289 (Sunpro CP7983)

No, but you should still have both ports. This one is Edelbrock RPM AirGap. Tim

How to install a second Water Temp Gauge on a 66 289 (Sunpro CP7983)

There are two water jacket ports on most intake manifolds. You can see both in this picture, there is one just to the left of the distributer and one just to the right (they are the brass plugs that you see just in front of the monty carlo bar). I use both, one for my temperature gauge and one...

    road racers 65/6 cars

Is it a dedicated track car or is it street / occasional track? Also, if you are considering 16" wheels, I would go ahead and make the jump to 17". Tire selection for 16" wheels is very limited. I run 17X8, 4.75 backspacing with 225/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear. I have the Falken...

    Front suspension problems

My guess, is it's going to be due to the alignment. If you took it to a shop and had them do a stock alignment, the car will feel very twitchy and want to wonder a lot at highway speeds. If this sounds like what you are experiencing, go back and have the alignment set to the performance...

    Clutch Problem

Did you just install a new diaphram style clutch? This is really quite common when going from a stiff 3-finger old style clutch to the newer diaphram style clutch. The under dash spring is actually an assist spring and is used to reduce the effort in depressing the clutch pedal. If you are...

    Rear Suspension Belp

What size tires are you running in the rear? What is the backspacing on your wheels? Exactly where are your tires rubbing, inside by the leaf springs or outside toward the fender lips? If you are rubbing while driving in a straight line when hitting potholes or going over a speed bump, a...

    Summit/Northern Radiator Mounting - Summit 380100 ok?

For the mounting brackets, I went to a local metal shop and had them bend me some aluminum. Then I took some measurements and drilled my own mounting holes.
