    clutch noise question

    Make sure your stock quadrant isn't shot. If the teeth are ground down it could be adjusting and slipping back. If it's not that I'd replace the TOB just to be safe.

    You will also have to change your hood, assuming your putting it on a GT. If you don't there is like a 1" gap around the head lights and it looks funny.

    Without knowing the reputation of the shop that rebuilt it, it is very hard. If they replaced everything from the firewall forward(and did it right), no one will ever notice and the car should be straight. Check out SVPU.com. They are a local shop here and the only ones I trust with my car...

    Actually I bought a damaged one off of Ebay because I have access to a bodyshop. They supposedly sell at Ford for $600 and the mounting kit was $89. I called Ford because mine was missing 1 dzus fastener, and was told they no longer sell them because they can't get the hardware kits anymore...

    +1 The first time you bump that Cobra R air dam(and you will) it's going to break. Urethane is much more forgiving. Plus with the functional air dam(like I have) it's removable. So it's not always on there.

    99 Cobra ECU Question

    I know Ford ECU's aren't locked to a certain car. But as far as using a GT ECU in a Cobra, one's a 2v and ones a 4v. They cannot interchange in stock form. You may be able to flash it and put a tune on it but I'm not even sure you can do that.

    I also have a 99 Cobra, and I have wondered about an 03-04 Cobra. I did the math and for $8000 I could go with a Hellion turbo kit and lay down 475-500rwhp or spend roughly $10k for an 03-04 with selling the 99(mines heavilly modded), and be around 400rwhp. But the second option leaves no more...

    just ordered my first mod! few questions

    I have a Dynomax 2.5" o/r x pipe with the MAC 3" catback with 3.5" tips on my 99. With your stock catted midpipe it won't be bad but once you remove those cats the sound is going to double or triple. I hope you like loud! lol But it sounds good not just loud with no tone.

    As far as what I noticed, I didn't loose any. But my car is set up for autocross so it doesn't see the drag strip. Last dyno was 316rwhp, 301lb/tq. So usually you get more torque than hp but I also have an aluminum flywheel which doesn't help torque either but autocross is a whole different...

    Check out SVPU.com. It's a local shop. He has a 2.5L stroker SVO putting down386rwhp. As far as a tt the install is so much more involved than a single turbo. I'd suggest just running a single turbo. But yes 2.3 + 2.3 = 4.6 sou you'd be good on the tt set up as far as being able to do that.

    I run 18's because I like to autocross. Less sidewall = less sidewall rolling = better handling. But I would tend to agree if you're dragging you would use a smaller rim.
