Need help with purchaseing a new 3rd member

the bearing size refers to the axle tubes. the small bearings hae a step down like the 8" axle tubes, called 9" small bearing. the large bearing refers to the straight tubes that stay "large" all the way to the flange. the third member is not effected. however, a 9.5 wont work with a 9"...

    8.8 in a '66 - is it possible w/out being expensive?

I've researched that myself. i've found that a 9" will cost the same amount an 8.8 will. so i'm probably not going with either since i can build the 8" in my car already for less than half of the $$$ than the 8.8 or 9.

    q about new heads...

The little 289 in my car have the stock heads and I want to upgrade the heads ASAP. My biggest question is can I go with a 2.02/1.60 valve size and not hit the stock flat top piston? I don't want to be forced to buy new pistons to accommodate as that would mean an entire rebuild (one of those...

Anyone Using Ssbc On A 65-66?

just finished converting the front on my 66coupe. for the most part it was very straight forward. the biggest problem i ran into was loosening the lines that go to the distro block from the m/c. the only way i was able to get the job done was by cutting the line as close to the connector on...
