Mine broke when I tried to get it out :(
I drilled it and chased the thread. Now that I swap it out once a year (veh insp) I never have a prob :nice:
Plus It's sooooo much easier to get at the nuts that hold the H pipe to the header with the O2 sensors out :D
I've got 3.73s and a 2.95 1st gear. It's not all that bad in first, but when I need a higher gear to pull out quick I just start in 2nd.
BTW, I had problems with wheelspin, until I got Z rated tires...:nice:
First thing I'd do is find a local Mustang guy, try car shows and have him take an unbiased look at it if you can.
Someone who knows these cars might be able to tell you if it's even worth savimg. I know that sounds sac religious but If there's major structural decay...
Not likely as it's...
I had a driveline vibration and was looking at different things. I put an indicator on my axle flange and found it ran out quite a bit
I have a spare 8.8 rear, are both axles the same length or do I need to use the same side.
I have a set of equal one piece flange shorties on my Coupe. the head seal is fine (with copper gaskets) it's the Bassani X pipe to header seal that's driving me batty...
Guy at MU said BBK makes their stuff so that it doesn't fit well with other brands. Whether that's true or not...
I know where there's a Mustang set, I got 2 sets of pretty decent GT power seats from this localguy, he uses the halo's for "drinking by the fire" chairs. Won't part with them...
I have some BBK equals on my Coupe, I used copper gaskets and it's been about 3 years with no leaks.
Now my Bassani X pipe on the other hand won't seal to the BBK's...
My 66 vert does that when it's cold, I just give it a little gas when I put it in gear (with my left foot on the brake) but once it's warm it's fine
It's really strange that your car would up and die while driving it
Sounds like you've tried everything but the trans...
