Should I have my tires Siped?

while on the topic, whats the deal with these "Tire traction Compounds" you just rub them on your tire and they are suppose to provide better traction for racing

    Removing rear Isolators?

This is why.. IF you don't wrap it in tape it will make a little bit of noise. wrap it in duct tape and you'll have NO noise to speak of. The second reason, if you have real short springs, the spring will fall out of the control arm with out the isolators, this won't happen unless you cut the...

    Sea Foam

you've gotta be a real idiot to mess something up with it man. I just shove it in a vaccum line as fast as i can, just making sure it doesnt stall out.. i truly believe it's not possible to hydrolock the engine with this, unless your REALLY jinxed. if your taking ANY sort of preventive measures...

    Sea Foam

i've used it on every car i've owned, and my moms car, and a friends car.. The truth is it's in my experience completley useless. It's all placebo effect, for meanyway, and it makes for a nice smoke show. People claim to feel diffrences, etc. but in my experience it's just smoke, and i'm...

Can I use stock shocks/struts for new springs?

..yea you can. but even if they don't blow, thats not the issue. The car will not have the right charecteristics with stock shocks on a lowered car. You want dampners if your looking for ANY sort of performance out of those springs. especially IF your stock struts/shocks have over 50k miles on...

Cutting front springs: which side to cut?

I'm about to get fox body shocks in the back and see if i can get away with it instead of buying performance ones. I don't mind long ours and stuff if i'm happy with what i'm doing. Will they send me to school or something? or will they go with my experience? ..because my experience doesn't...

Cutting front springs: which side to cut?

How do you like working on cars for the military? Had a friend that severley discouraged me from doing something like that in the military..he told me some crazy stories about how they were dropping engines etc. etc. in tanks in hours and having them up and running ASAP working through the...

Are MSD Coil Overs worth the money?

i'm pretty sure theres absolutley no power to be gained from these things on a bolt on car. I'm willing to bet it's a zero HP gain on a dyno

Cutting front springs: which side to cut?

Blah blah blah, thats what everyone says. My car rides the same way it did before i cut the springs. I only cut half a coill of the front, and about 1 coil off the rear. BtW: i did invest in aftermarket springs.. Eibach sportlines. The sportlines make the rear of the New Edge look too high, i've...

Cutting front springs: which side to cut?

If i cut the bottom half of the coil, then how can i get the end of the coil all the way where it needs to be? your saying i cut the LCA side of the coil, right? I know the car isn't suppose to sit higher..but it does. I have no idea why

car sits high after installing struts

struts don't need to settle in? I've driven it for like 30 miles, and i went over speed bumps a couple dozen times. I'm thinking i put the bushings in wrong..but i dont think so, the car drives perfect. There are more threads showing out the strut tower than there were with the stock strut...

New O/R H and CEL question.

err...i'm trying to think back..i think i ended up having to grind both the mil AND the o2 sensor sides. don't worry, those tabs are useless..even if you don't use the MIL eliminators, the o2 sensor will still hold to the factory piece with out the tabs. If you've ever bought aftermarket...

    Will I need new shocks?

40,000 miles with sportlines? and it still rides smooth and no bounce? 40,000 miles is nearing replacement on brand new shocks with stock springs let alone a 2 inch drop. Have you ever ridden in another mustang? Regardless, your car wont handle right with stock dampners wether they are blown or not

    Will I need new shocks?

man, i ran pro for a month or 2, then i got sportlines..a month later, they SUCK. Look even if they don't blow, your ride will be totall butt. the stock shocks and struts aren't made for this, i have a feeling they are not designed to be lowered any more than maybe .5 inches and thats...
