versailles rear end tire fit ????

275 40 17 fits with no problem. I'm running 285 45 17 on mine and have about 3/8" clearance on both sides and I have a Maier panhard bar to keep the rear from moving side to side.

    FR Styling Pack

I would like to see it on a car to see if it looks like the CDC spoiler. Too bad they don't offer it without the rear panel.

    FR Styling Pack

Has anyone installed the Ford Racing Styling Pack? I'd like to see how the chin spoiler looks installed. Although it is kind of spendy.

Difference in 3D Carbon and Shelby Spoiler

You might also consider the difference in fit and finish. I just got a Shelby spoiler from a dealer on ebay for about $400 shipped. The owner of the body shop that painted it was very impressed with the finish. Factory primed and not a blemish. He charged $88.00 to paint it. He said that most...

    stripes

I was looking at a GT 500 at the local dealer. The quality of the lemans stripes wasn't real good. They had it roped off, so I couldn't touch it. Are they vinyl or painted?

    Magnaflow or Borla

I'm about to get some new mufflers. I'd appreciate any input from anyone. I know there isn't much difference performance wise. I'm mainly interested in how they sound, since I haven't heard either.

    71 Steering is loose!

Yeah, It's probably the steering box. If it has never been adjusted you can get rid of alot of the slop by tightening the adjusting screw on the top of the box. Just use a sloted screwdriver to hold the screw while you loosen the jamb nut. Then tighten the screw a couple of turns an retighten...

    Wheel backspacing on versailles rear

Can't really take any pics right now. The car is on jack stands right now. I've been going completely through it this winter. Stripped it completely down. New TCP suspension and subframe connectors. Took the body down to bare metal. I'm just getting it back together and getting the body work...

    Wheel backspacing on versailles rear

Actually, it does change the dish of the outer wheel since the less backspacing moves the center further back. A 9.5" wheel with 4.75 backspacing would have a 1.5" deeper dish in front than a 8" wheel with 4.75 backspacing. If I use a 5.5" backspace on the 9.5" wide wheel the front dish would be...

    Wheel backspacing on versailles rear

I'm about to spend the big bucks on a set of PSE wheels for my '67 fastback. It has a Versailles rear. I'm currently running 275 40 17 tires and they fit with plenty of room to spare due to the narrower rear. I've done some measuring and I'm sure 285's will fit. Here is my problem. I will need...

    coil springs

You can get 720 lb springs from Maier Racing or 750 lb Grab-a-Tracs from Mustangs Plus. They are pretty stiff. 620's would be fine with any good shock Koni, Spax etc.

    Granada 9" in a 67 Stang..Who's done it?

I put a Versailles rear in my '67 about 10 years ago. It mounts right up with no mods needed. The e brake on mine was missing on my car when I bought it 27 years ago, and I never bothered to install one. I know that it can be done. I just don't know how much fabrication is involved, if any. You...

x-pipe w/muffs VS. Shelby style side exhaust

The Spintech side exhaust mufflers have a great sound. Have you heard one of the Gt 500E or Gt 350 SR's? You can get them from DR Gas with the x-pipe.

    SVO Master Cylinder

I'm installing a SVO master cylinder in my '67. I can't find anyone locally that carries metric tube fittings for the m/c ports. Does anyone know what size they are so I can order them?

Can't get fluid from master cylinder

Did you bench bleed the m/c. Most of the new & rebuilt ones come with the fittings & hose.

    Removable radiator support on 67?

Sorry, my car is at the shop, so I can't get a photo. Basically all I did is cut the mounting ears off of the support. Then I made some brackets and mounted them in front of the support. Mount the rad to the brackets with some short plastic bushings. That will give you close to an inch to move...

    351 heads on a 302

As the man said, The issues are getting the compression ratio up by either milling the heads or using a higher compression piston and the bushings due to the difference in the head bolts.
