Real deal on the Eibach Sportlines

I had the Sportlines and loved the look, but the ride just got to me. Maybe the roads are just too rough on the way to/from work - more likely I'm just getting older. I have the Pro-Kit and like them, but I'd say that both the Sportlines and Pro-Kit should be a 1/4 inch lower in the front...

Just installed my UPR O/R X-pipe....OMFG!!! Wow.....

Not to hijack. I'm not sure what you guys mean by rasp. I just installed a catted Bassani X pipe with my Mac Flowpaths and though it sounds pretty damn good, it REALLY resonates loudly at about 2000 rpm. I'm not sure if it's just because it's louder, or because of the X and chambered...

what tire pressure should i have?

From another thread I posted in: Forget the 44 psi max. Those numbers indicate that it's a higher quality tire, and you'd only run close to that when road-racing. The goal with tire pressures is to have the same loaded radius on the front and back wheels. That means from the hub to the...

PLEASE HELP ! antifreeze in all my plugs on left bank

My intake was cracked and that was my excuse to do a headswap. I just used the ol credit card. Got the heads for $350 delivered (plus $48 for the bent valves), $105 for the head change kit, $140 delivered for the PI intake, plus about $40 more for some other gaskets. Pretty damn cheap if ya...

Tired of getting beat by turbo Jettas!

Ever owned a 96 to 98 GT? Basically, all that they do when you floor it is make more noise. I should know... My headswap is DONE!

Problem! Headswap and NO compression in two cylinders

Howdy. After spending nights and days and frustration (that damn power steering bolt), it turns out that number 1 and 2 cylinders have NO, ZERO, compression. Oh, and the other cylinders have between 175 and 186 psi. That seems high to me, but I'm sure it's probably normal after a headswap...

Can I buy only front lowering springs ? Pro Kit not enough for me in the front

That depends on how much you cut off. Let's say I want a half inch drop and cut a quarter of a coil. How much is the spring rate REALLY going to go up? Stock front is 450 lbs. Pro-kit's are what.. 500? Ford's C springs are 650, and many people run them. I'd be suprised if a half coil...

Draining tank for fuel pump install

You can get that part at an auto parts store for about $11. I just did. Just tell them that you need a fuel line disconnect tool for a Ford.

Can I buy only front lowering springs ? Pro Kit not enough for me in the front

Why don't you just cut a little off of the front springs? That's what I'm going to do with my Pro-Kit.

Curiousity? Feature creep? Need for more HP?

The stock clutch will wear out eventually, but if you're not dumping the clutch and/or drag racing it will still last awhile. When it dies, I'm a big fan of Spec stage 1 or 2 clutches. The rear-end will hold up just fine, but you'll probably want to get the axle tubes welded to the diff. since...

Curiousity? Feature creep? Need for more HP?

Jeez, for not much more money you could get an ATI Procharger and get close to 125 rwhp instead of 40 or 50 or so. In the long run, it takes WAY too much money to get significant HP N/A (and of course to get N/A power equal to a power-adder you'll end up having to sacrifice low-end power)...

Booo, got a warper intake manifold!

I'd do it yourself. There are some headswap walkthroughs on the internet. Also, I posted "want to buy" threads in the classifieds here, on Corral, and on Modulardepot.com and got a newer style with an aluminum crossover tube for $145 delivered. I am in the middle of doing a headswap and...

    Retardation or fact?

If I were the moderator I'd close this thread - and make it a sticky. Huck is DEAD on. The only that I'd add is that I'd bet that ALL recent owner's manuals INSTRUCT you to let your car idle for only 15 to 20 seconds then then DRIVE it. Thanks HUCK. You saved me the time to type it. :)

Oil: Royal Purple vs. Mobil 1 Synthetic

Anyone know if you can run the cobr/bullet brakes with....

So, the 99+ calipers are pretty nice. I stand corrected. I could swear I've looked at them more closely than at through the wheels of the newer Stangs. Though I am curious as to the benefits the SVT team say in upgrading the Bullitt and Cobra calipers. Or was it simply that they are...

Anyone know if you can run the cobr/bullet brakes with....

I think you meant get the Brembo rotors there; I couldn't find any just caliper deals. But, I have to say that $62 for replacement, Brembo 13" rotors IS a damn good price! David

Anyone know if you can run the cobr/bullet brakes with....

Are you sure about that? Have you seen the PBR brand Cobra caliper? It's massive. It must be over twice as big as the one that I took off of my 96, and the 99+ isn't that much bigger than the SN-95's. It's also aluminum and is designed to dissipate heat. And if there was no advantage, then...

Anyone know if you can run the cobr/bullet brakes with....

Yes I do, and no. :) The caliper would sit MUCH too high. You can get whole brake kits for less than $400.
