    Question about dual bowl conversion

ok i finally got up the energy to get out and take a picture of my conversion set up, here it is; the brake light switch is in the rear line. the front coupler goes to the factory distribution block for the front wheels, and there is a plug in the distribution block where the rear line went...

    Duraspark 2 conversion wiring help

there are some people that disguise the HEI module. they take a ford duraspark module, open it up and get rid of the electronics inside, and using an old computer processor heat sink theyh mount the module inside the duraspark housing, and run the wiring out though the same place the duraspark...

    460 swap

does the lincoln have a front sump oil pan? the mustang came with the 429 as an option, so the 460 should fit just fine. i think the stock exhaust manifolds can be used with minor issues.

Rear '68 Coilover system, bye bye leaf springs...

wicked93gs is right on this, the kit you showed is cheap at best. you can mitigate a few issues indicated by swapping the rubber bushings at one end of each link bar with a heim joint. also while teh kit is probably quite cheap, you can again mitigate some of the issues by paying attention to...

    Duraspark 2 conversion wiring help

to be honest i dont think it really matters. when i used a duraspark box for one of my electronic conversions, i just tied the red and white wires together and ran the same wire that powered my ignition coil, and never had an issue doing that.

    Question about dual bowl conversion

the ford distribution blocks do not have the brake light switch in them, they have a brake warning switch, that lights up when one side has a leak and loses pressure.

    Question about dual bowl conversion

you dont need a kit to do the conversion, just a few bits of kit. start with the 67 drum/drum master cylinder. next you are going to need some brake line. you can get it already setup with fittings and flares from most parts stores, they will be straight though so you need to bend them up...

    66 Mustang newbie

i did the 2100 two barrel swap on my 66 falcon using a 2v to 1v adapter. i had barely enough clearance to close the hood with a small air cleaner. the weber carb is shorter, so with the adapter and a small air cleaner you should have enough clearance to close the stock hood. the nice thing is...

    66 Mustang newbie

the inline six is a tough motor. it takes a nuclear explosion to kill one, and even then if you change the oil, put in fresh coolant, and a new battery it just might still light off and run. there were two different one barrel carbs use don these engines in the 60s, both had a few variations as...

    Restromod Steering

2blue2 is right. if you really want rack and pinion steering you are going to have to replace the front suspension assuming you want it to work right. you are better off getting a replacement steering box from someone like opentracker or others on this board that do this kind of stuff. the nice...

1969 mustang 302 clevor breaking up at high rpm

alright you might still have too much timing in the motor. where did you set it initially? i like 10-14 degrees for most of my engines. another isue to check into is the ignition box and the ignition coil. either one can be breaking up under load. same with the distributor cap, look for carbon...

    391 swap into foxbody

in stock form the 390 is a decent enough motor, and it is capable of so much more. i like the FEs, though i prefer the 385 series big blocks more.

    391 swap into foxbody

yep basically a heavy duty version of the 390FE engine. the biggest thing is the crank in the FT engines are forged where as in the FE engines tehy are cast. you will have to do a bit of machining to the crank snout if you want to use the passenger car balancer. OP my advice would be to keep...

    what year is my engine

there is a date code cast onto the block somewhere. find that and you can tell when the block was released for casting.
