Which transmission fits my coupe ?

the only differences between the V8 and six cylinder C4s are the number of clutches in each clutch pack in the trans. the six cylinder C4s can be upgraded to V8 specs if you want easily. also the accumulator piston is different as well. as far as i know the C3 never came behind the inline six.

Heidts Mustang Ii Info And 429/460 Swap

not necessarily, remember in 67 the 390 came in the mustang, and many were backed by the C6 trans. OP, you shouldnt need to cut up the car to install the 460 in your 68, again because these cars came with the brawny shouldered FE motors.

    EFI 351 Swap?

the crown vics had the 351w in them, after 1982 they were used only in police cars. also there were a handful of factory built 1993 mustangs that had teh 351w installed as well.

    EFI 351 Swap?

for cars in that era with the 351 efi engines, ford flattened out the upper intake s it would fit under the hood. however for trucks and van they had no issues with hood clearance, so the upper intakes were indeed taller by about 4-5 inches as i recall. that said however, if you scare up the...

    289 t5 questions

first make sure you have the correct imbalance factor on the flywheel. for your 289 it should be 28oz imbalance. as for the clutch itself, if the flywheel has the bolt pattern for the pressure plate, then you can us the newer pressure plate and disc with no issue. the bell housing will fit the 6...

i have done things like that before, it happens regardless of how careful we are. i remember rebuilding a one barrel carb for my 66 falcon, only to find that i had stripped the screw holes in the body that held the carb top on. made my decision to convert to a two barrel carb and electronic...

more power to you. like i said use a bottoming tap, not a starting tap since you have no room to use a starting tap. the bottoming tap is flat on the end with no taper. and again make sure you get it as absolutely straight as possible. and take your time.

that makes things a bit tougher, but still doable. if you are careful you can use a bottoming tap to cut new threads, and then use a brass fitting to replace the screw in filter, and go with an inline filter. be very careful though if you go this route as you MUST BE ABSOLUTELY SURE that you...

    1967 transmission dylema

the T5 swap is pretty straight forward. in your case you will need to find either a complete kit that includes a bell housing, as well as the proper adapter plate, 9" flywheel, clutch components, etc. check with modern drivelines they should have everything you need. contact...

Old time member looking for help: 1970 vs 1995

glad to see you made a choice, and it was a good one. given the amount of upgrading the early car would have needed to get the handling up to where you want it, you would have spent a lot more money than on the 94. as for the 393 stroker kit, it would ahve been cheaper to do your own since you...

    3D printed spoilers?

if you can design it yourself, you can then take the program and have someone do the printing, since i doubt you have the money or space for your own 3D printer large enough to do the job. look for companies in your area that do rapid prototyping.

    Brakes

i did this conversion on my 64 falcon. a few bits of steel line with the ends already installed, including the flares, a few adapters, "T" fittings, etc. and a 67 mustang drum/drum master cylinder, and an hours work. the basic conversion itself is easy. national parts depot has a conversion kit...

    rear gears

the rpm difference is very slight, something like under 50 rpms if i recall correctly.

    Brake conversion

correct. most people somehow think that adding power brakes means the car will stop better, but it wont. power brakes just means its easier to use the braking ability of the car.

    Best Efi Route

reduced complexity for one. second you get a more vintage look with modern electronics. third you get an easier to tune and maintain setup. the holley sniper system has a control panel that mounts in the car so you can make adjustments on the fly if you choose. the EEC VI system is good but it...

    Best Efi Route

dump the fox body stuff, and go with something like the holley sniper on a four barrel intake. there are number of companies that are building similar systems, and the nice thing is that they are all self learning systems.
