    Inner Fender/Wheel Well Liner Removal

OK, I'm trying again with a different subject line. There's got to be someone out there who has taken this apart on their car, particularly you supercharger guys. I've got to replace my EVR (EGR Valve Regulator). The bad news is that the EVR is INSIDE the right-front fender well. Has...

EGR Valve Regulator Replacement – Any Advice?

I got an EGR related trouble code (code 33 – EGR opening not detected) so I tested my EGR system this weekend and found out my EVR (EGR Valve Regulator) is bad. It’s not applying the right amount of vacuum to the EGR valve at the right time. The bad news is that the EVR is INSIDE the...

    AODE Valve Body Stiffening Bracket

Mike, That's not a valid Ford TSB number. But, since my curiosity was now peaked, I did some more research on this. I went back to my service guy at the Ford dealer. Turns out when we were doing the TSB searches we were doing searches ONLY for a '95 Mustang GT, because that's what year...

    AODE Valve Body Stiffening Bracket

Mike, I just had my AOD-E completely rebuilt by my Ford dealer. I talked to their transmission mechanic at length about what parts I wanted updated... mostly those things that are known to go bad or have TSBs written about them. I was impressed with this mechanic's knowledge level about...

Tranny Fluid Leak - Need Advice ASAP

Guys, I had a new torque converter installed 2,000 miles ago by the dealer. (They also installed a new converter “hub” seal at the same time.) Now I’ve got transmission fluid literally pouring out of the rubber inspection plug on the bottom of the tranny right under the torque converter...

Wobbles During Braking...Have NEW Rotors and Pads. What Is It?

You didn't say if you got new front brakes, back brakes, or both. If only one or the other, it might be the other! If both, you might have a bad wheel bearing on one corner or you might have improperly torqued lug nuts causing a "warp" in an otherwise new rotor.

    car shutting off while driving

shogun, It’s the PIP module in your distributor. That stands for Profile Ignition Pickup module. It’s also called a Hall Effect sensor, because that’s the name of the solid state device that makes the PIP work. And, the Ford parts books call it the distributor Stator, because it’s the part...

    Post pics of WHITE stangs!

Eric, That's NO drop! Stock springs and suspension. May look lower because the shot was taken close-up from about head high, there are dark shadows under the car, and the 17-inch bullitts may look like they fill the wheel well a bit more.

Trying to help out a fellow stanger, but can't, can you help the helper??????

stunner, If it starts sometimes and then stops it's more likely a solid state ignition component getting ready to die. It could be your PIP module. That stands for Profile Ignition Pickup module. It’s also called a Hall Effect sensor, because that’s the name of the solid state device...

    ECT and PVC questions

KeithStang, The ECT sensor comes with sealant already on the threads, plus its a tapered seat. Don't put anything else on the threads, it will just make the thread diameter oversized and harder to fit in the tapered seat. Don't overtighten it either! It will never bottom out on anything...

Why is my gt still knocking?

JimTMich, If you've done all that, the next thing I would check is EGR system operation. That's assuming that you haven't removed it. If you've removed it, did you use a Tweecer or something to set your EGR Type to uninstalled (set to 0 I think.)? An incorrectly operating EGR system will...

Im retarted. How do I ajust headlights.

Stangfreak95, My instructions were for stock Ford headlights. I'm not sure at all about aftermarket headlights. I expect that they might adjust the same way since they probably mount in the same housing as the stock units. There actually are some slotted screws that show from the front...

Im retarted. How do I ajust headlights.

Guys, Our headlights are not adjusted with slotted screws from the front. They are adjusted from the back of the headlights in the engine compartment with two threaded shafts that have 4mm hex heads on them. There is one shaft for each plane of adjustement; horizontal plane (left-right...

    Oil Drain Plug Stripped!

SN95StangMan, Here's something else to consider. I've actually had the same thing happen to me a couple of times since I used to rebuild and restore 60's and 70's muscle cars for a hobby for about 20 years. What I've found is that the oil pan plugs are made with softer metal than the oil...

    Oil Drain Plug Stripped!

sn95StangMan, They make repair kits for stripped threads. The best brand is called "Helicoil". Basically, the stripped hole gets drilled oversize to the next size Helicoil. That hole is then threaded with a tap, and the Helicoil itself is threaded into that. This all results in a hole...

    Engine Coolant Temp.(ECT) Sensor Question

Ed, The ECT is one of two sensors that the PCM uses to determine proper Air/Fuel ratios for various engine operating temperatures. If you defeat the range of input signals that the ECT can send to the PCM, then your A/F ratios will be wrong for your engine's operating temperatures at some...

Best way to get the cowl and mirrors to look black again?

Guys, I just used good old Turtle Wax (paste car wax) and waxed them a couple times with a clean white cloth (old t-shirt). First time took most of the crud off, second time brought back a nice black shine to them. They look new now. If yours aren't too far gone, I'd try this first.

FedEx brought my intake! Ever seen one of these?

baglock1, What are you going to do about the air intake? That Roush kit came with a replacement HOOD!!! The air intake for the system was at the back edge of the replacement hood where it meets the front windshield. That big curved air filter bracket that you show in one of your pictures...
