    Yes, you will enjoy the 2010. I agree that a tuner and exhaust will make you even happier. However, if you are like me, I want the "new" to wear off on my new GT before I start messing with it. My '07 had the exhaust and tune though and it halled ba*&s, when it ran.

    Good luck. Put yourself in his shoes. He can sell that car to someone who will pay what he is asking or to you. Since it is not on the lot and will not be a "done deal" for a while, I doubt he will budge much.

    You said it right there. "The previous owner put a cold air intake and Flowmasters on it". What else did they do? It was likely driven to match that performance. Definately have it checked out. I would not go to another Ford place. Try to find and unbiased independent mechanic.

    That should worry you. I had mine for two months. That shows on the CarFax now and whoever is considering buying it should take note. Mine had multiple problems, but the more sever were with the transmission and drivetrain. I think someone had been dragging the car and made it look stock...

    some questions

    All cars will loosen up, even the BMWs. If you buy new, you should be fine with the Mustang. I've never had any issues with them being rattly or unreliable, with one exception. I had a 2003 GTcoupe that was more solid at 100K miles than most cars are new.

    Without a doubt, if it were me, I'd get the GT500. Why not keep the 2010 for a daily driver?

    Congrats VPStang. Enjoy! Mine looks just like yours, without the Roush parts. STANGMole, Agreed. The savings on a 2010 are hard to beat. I also plan on letting the hype die down on the 2011 and let Ford get the kinks worked out and maybe look for a 2012 in a year or so. I've seen one...

    What is everyone's experience with exhaust systems? I've always had stock until the '07GT I had for a short time. It had a great sound (Pypes axlebacks). It had the 3.73 gears and was tuned. It had issues, but when it ran, it felt much faster than the 2010 GT I just bought, also w/ 3.73...

    professional detailing, worth it IMO

    pesj, Where do you live? I drove my new black 2010 GT to work last Friday and it was yellow/green after one day! Damn pollen! It is out of control here in Texas. I had it washed again yesterday and it is alreadty yellow/green again.

    Creaking Front End

    Hmm. My '07 had creaking and a rattle. But, the TSB for control arms and other components covered the issue. It sounds like maybe the struts. My '03 had the sound you describe, but it was worse when cold. It was the struts on that car. Good luck. Hopefully someone more mechanical than me...

    I did a side by side comparison on the sticker of my 2010 GT v.s. the pricing sheet w/invoice prices on a 2011 Gt. My MSRP was $35.5K and a comparable 2011 came in around $37.7-38K.

    You must be the only dealer, because nobody is budging off of sticker here. And this area will get a good amount of GTs, because it is a big market with a lot of people with money.

    My new 2010 only has 200 miles on it, so I can't really tell yet. My commute is a mix of highway and traffic, with most beign highway in the mornings. The first day, the average displayed on the computer was 12.1! Yikes. The second day it read 20.1, so it is already getting better.

    JJ, My dealer has base 2010 GTs for $22,800, so it is comparable to what I was saying. That is $6k cheaper than the base 2011's you refer to and the difference gets larger as the sticker does.

    Tachometer advice.

    I don't know if it has anything to do with your dilemma, but they switched the tach and speedo on the 2010 models. It drives me nuts, because I'm used to the other and don't drag my car. But, the tack is a little easier to see as it is now on the right side.
