Stripes and Muffler Help before Friday.

My Corsa system had torque specs listed in the install sheet- maybe your system will too. Regarding the stripes, you can find info here and alot on other forums too. My top 4 tips: 1) Mark the centerline of the car very carefully. When in doubt about measurements, trust your eyes more...

    brenspeed tunes

You'll be fine. With JLT2 cai, SCT tune, offroad pipes, CMRC delete plates, pullies, and 4.10 gears I can still cruise at 70mph and get 23.5 mpg. I don't bother tracking city mileage, only because between stoplights I accelerate like a banshee (by choice) so I'm sure it kills my mpg.

    brenspeed tunes

I agree that the difference in the price of gas wouldn't impact my decision, but if you're concerned about it just remember that (likely) you'll get 3 tunes with your tuner. You can fill with 93 octane one time, and flash the 93 tune into the car; drive it and see if you like it. Then...

Can of Worms and Decision before tomorrow.

Bamachips is a great tuner, no doubt. But I've had tunes from both and IMO Brenspeed is the way to go. They've always been known as the tuner to go with for manual transmissions, however they purchased another '06GT with the automatic and I can tell you that their auto tunes are incredible...

Congrats! Brenspeed is one of the best tuners in the country for the new cars, I knew you'd be happy!

    Adding Timing

I can tell you from my dyno tune this week, some cars don't like timing as much as others. With the "normal" timing settings on Brenspeed's 93 octane tune, my car ran very well but occasionally would have spikes in the upper rpm range while on the dyno; it was the knock sensors pulling timing...

What's the best supercharger setup for 2006 GT?

Ha ha, you said "touching my parts over and over" :rlaugh: I'm looking at a Paxton 2200 combo from Brenspeed. Tom

Clarkson rants on Americans and Mustang

Bobby Knight, former Indiana University basketball coach, had a quote years ago that applies to most writers, and seemingly fits Clarkson perfectly: "All of us learn to write in the 2nd grade- some of us go on to bigger things."

    Used GT prices are ridiculous....

The pricing is so high because of the *******s that bought the car originally for like $5000 over sticker price- just like people are doing for GT500's now. I saw the same thing last year- most used '05s were outrageous. I remember one example very well, because the guy asked me to drive 6...

Ford Racing CMVC Delete under $100

From everything that I've read, if your tuner has the option enabled to allow for the delete plates, you should be good to go. There are several options that the tuner can come with- I don't mean options as in different tunes, but rather options in what you can modify on the particular tunes...

Difference in 3D Carbon and Shelby Spoiler

Also, the factory spoiler mounts to the decklid with 4 bolts. The 3dCarbon pieces uses two bolts and tape. There have been people on other forums that have had problems with the front of the spoiler coming unattached because the tape failing. Maybe it was the tape, maybe it was the install...

Correct way to do a burnout...???

So then, oh great experienced one: are you dumping the clutch in 2nd gear or are you just referring to starting in 1st gear only? Since you learned it 20+ years ago I'm sure you can share more of your experience.

Correct way to do a burnout...???

I would think that with my mods, I should be able to do it easily  . But, I'm afraid to try again because I don't want to buy a new clutch right now.

Correct way to do a burnout...???

No doubt- I can't get a starting 2nd gear burnout, even with my mods. I've tried twice, and smoked the clutch both times! Maybe I'm applying too much break or something. I'm trying the powerbrake method....... you're not revving and popping the clutch out while in 2nd are you?

Ford Racing CMVC Delete under $100

I was thinking that it was more RPM related than throttle position related, but I could be wrong. As if to say, that they only opened above a set RPM rather than only at WOT. Someone else may know for sure.
