    haha the ford dealership told me $450 for the gears, and $900 for the install. i asked if he was kidding me, then followed up his reply with you guys are a ****ing joke and a hang up. i think i paid like 350-400 for my install, (also with a new trac-lok)

    OF COUSE NOT :) .... BUT, if i did, it would have been on a closed course, obviously.:D but the speedo only goes to 230km/h so after that it's just a guess of about 240+... (IF i were to ever think of doing such a thing)

    ok, well for all you imperial folk ... i'm talking about between about 105mph and 150mph where i notice the difference... no gauge or anything to go off of, but at that speed i think there would have to be some kind of pressure on the air going in.

    i really don't think welding the seams is going to help much though. unless you notice the spot welds cracking or something, i think you'd be much better off to invest your time and money elsewhere. the seams don't appear to be a high stress point... and i dont think welding them would add much...

    i got tired of the air filter not fitting properly, so tweaked it a bit and then sealed the seams with butyl tape, and also shortened the hose on my march ram air kit. All i can say is WOW! never thought it would make much of a difference but it really does at high speeds.... the car pulls...
