Cobra to fast for daily driver?

the 03/04 cobra's are a very nice daily driver... you can drive them around very easy like grandma drives around her station wagon.... smooth and steady... there just isn't a need to floor it like the ole mustang 4L engines just to get from light to light :rlaugh:

    Installed MagnaFlow Catback this morn

I made sure there I could insert my finger between the pipe and the bumper... this makes for easy cleaning too... As for hp... I saw a dyno sheet somewhere on an 03/04 cobra that made 27hp on this magnaflow cb mod alone... I will dig up the URL.... As for melting the tips... man...

    Finally have pics to share!

Sweet ride! those tires are nice too.. I went with the Eagle F1 d3s.. they look close to what you have. These tires are very soft too.. but I have the most miles out of these tires than other ones I tried... they have no doubt lasted the longest.

    Underdrive pullies

You should be okay, the slow down isn't that much unless you have several large amps.. some folks with boom stangs need 2 batteries :)

    Throttle body??

Perhaps a chip, or start saving for the boost :) If you are wanting all around performance and not just 1/4 mile... don't forget the STB, and the rear shock towerbrace is easy to install and looks nice back there :)

    Cobra owners please explain this

And the saleen probably had a run at it before the cobras took off... but... its just a mystery :) Nonetheless, the editing of the videos is supurb!

whats better long tube or shorty headers?

They both gain hp and torque..... long tube headers - gain more torgue short tube headers - gain more hp But they are normally small gains (10 - 12) unless you have a nicely modded engine... the cost for our engines are high, and install is high too...

Hissmann - where did you get that gas tank door? That is sweet! mine are in my sigs

    X pipe???

Yes, it will be a little longer but that won't hurt... an x-pipe for a GT won't fit a cobra due to the the longer trannys... But the flanges on the stock manifolds are the same.

    Throttle body??

For the mods you have though, I would save my money and use it for sub-frame connectors.. you might see 5ph with a larger throttle body on a stock engine. Subs will make you hook up much better for drastically improved 60foot times.... and safe your car from cracks and rattles...

    just dyno'ed my car...........

On a lightly modded car, not much at all - perhaps 10 to 15... adding 15lbs of boost and other goodies and you could see some nice gains from them...

    351 cleveland in a 01 cobra?

No kidding... unless that 32v engine is completely dead and not worth rebuilding... sure.. go ahead... if not, then you should put this in a v6 mustang and sell your cobra... it won't be worth squat if you do this... without that cobra engine... it really isn't a cobra any more. Travis

    Dropping suvs at 80mph

There was a wreck in Penn state that caused 44 cars to crash and left 6 dead... you don't get another quarter in life... use the one you have wisely... be safe, race on race tracks and dragstrips - or from a traffic light to about 60.... races are won on take offs to 60 feet mostly...

MAC vs Flowmaster AM thunder cat-back

I love my magnaflow... We had to cut the hanger too in order to get a better fit. And BTW... if you didn't tack weld the pieces together, I would recomend you do that. Then, you don't ever have to worry about them moving. I also have o/r pipes in my bassani cat-back... removing the cats...

    SVT Vs. Roush Vs. Saleen

I think the cobra has an excellent ride quality... not mushy... definately firm.. but not bumpy like a GT... pot holes are much better... and it does feel like its on rails... I think it is a perfect medium... although a full brace set is what I am saving up for :) I am going to do it all at...
