    FRPP Head Changing KIT?

Would you use it? I'm in the process of obtaining all the parts i need to do my headswap. I'm having a hard time deciding what gaskets to use for the swap. I'm leaning towards the FRPP kit ( i can use the head gaskets and the exhaust manifold gaskets, just not the headbolts). For $105 this is my...

    Upgraded cams without headwork??

A friend of mine made 298rwhp and 342rwtq w/ Fox Lake stage 2 heads and a stage 1 cam w/ just minor bolt ons. Yes you need a tune! I'd just go w/ a nice stage 1 cam. you'll be happy! If you go w/ a stage 2 then you'll have to change your springs as well.

    Headswappers... What Gaskets?

Thats what I'm leaning towards....I can get the FRPP kit for $105 and then sell the Romeo headbolts that are supplied. All I'll need are the supporting gaskets. Anyone else?

    Headswappers... What Gaskets?

What gasket kit did you use when doing your headswap? I'm not sure what i want to use  I was thinking of going w/ the FRPP kit but I would only be able to use the gaskets and not the bolts (I have windsor heads). If i get this kit i'll just seperatly buy the other gaskets that i'll need...

    Magnaflow Exhaust Tip Problem(again!!)

I put my tip on w/ a longer allen screw and put on some lock nuts. Never have had a problem...and they are tighter than hell. No rattles :nice:

What are the chances of getting an interior squeak fixed by taking it to the dealer?

As long as the car is still under warranty, then they should have no problem checking it out. My dad use to take his Expedition in whenever he had a squeek or rattle from the interior and they had no problem fixing it.

thats it, i'm selling the PI's!

True.....But a $1,000 for labor is getting raped IMO  When most people can do it themselves or shop are charging $500.

thats it, i'm selling the PI's!

The guy thats doing mine is charging $500 for the install. Thankfully all he deals w/ is Modular motors, he mostly builds 4V motors and he races a 9 sec. 4V Cobra. So he's very capable and i fully trust him. I'd keep the heads and find someone alittle more reasonable that has done a few. I...

    1997 vs 1998

My 98 was built in late 97 and it dosen't have the painted black on the lower rear bumper. The easiest way to tell the difference visually is the clock pod on the dash. 94-97 have the pod 98's don't. I believe some 96's had a honeycomb mesh in the grille as well, not like the 99-up's but...

    Price on header install...

    Mac Longtubes?

I too have been wondering how the HTS will hold up, but I don't drive mine in the snow or rain and it's always garaged so i'll be going w/ the MAC/s. I found mine for $290 HTS coated, haven't gotten them yet but will be buying them in the spring, after i get all my headswap parts. :nice:

    PI heads needed!

You'll need to get a PI intake or the Bullit intake new valve covers (if the heads are windsor heads) your exhaust should be fine, but i recommend going w/ a set of headers either LT's or shortie's. Ofcourse the headswap kit, you might want to thinkabout a tune after your all done. Just do a...

    PI heads on 98 gt?

All you need is the swap kit and the other supporting parts (do a search on the topic). Yes the compression does jump quite a bit, some say between 10:5:1 and 11:1. Reason for the bump is because the 98 slugs are flater than the 99-up slugs and the valve chamber is slightly different.

What's the diameter of the opening on the Dragon? Looks good! :nice:

Dyno for C&L and/or Dragon Plenums

Subscribing...... The Dragon seems like it would flow smoother than the C&L, because of the bump in the design of the C&L where the Dragon seems to have a more direct flow into the lower intake. But I too would like to see a dyno pull w/ all three on a stock or light bolt-on car.

    SLP headers, X, [email protected]!!!

How was the fit and finish of the SLP headers? How much did you pay? if you don't mind me asking. I'll be picking up a set of LT's when I do my headswap. Great times! :nice:

    bullit pedals installation

Get the bullit's! I've never been a big fan of aftermarket pedals like the Saleen or Steeda's, I just think they're too big. I put a set from Saleen on my Brothers 93 and I don't like them at all! Here's my bullit pedals...I'm ashamed to post this pic cause my interior was dirty
