    v6 auto or manual...convertible/hardtop

Auto Hardtop Auto can be shifted manually when desired. The lines are much sleeker with the HT, the auto is great for traffic and bad knees. We have a lot of 15MPH and 25MPH zones so I am always cruising in 1st or 2nd gear. 3rd is good for coming down our nasty hills. SOHC

    Jolt

Have you tried manually downshifting and hitting the gas at the same time? Try it out and note the delay. Take it to a DIFFERENT Ford dealer. And a different one. And a different one. Take a new Mustang off the lot for a test drive with the Service Manager with you. Compare it...

    Jolt

A second and a half is much too long of a delay. That could be extremely dangerous in an emergency situation were fast response is needed. My delay is nowhere near that bad, maybe a 1/4 second or so. Also, manually downshifting may help. SOHC

Daemon, I had my car "fixed" under that TSB, new fuel pump and filter. It did NOT fix the problem. After I had installed full duals, the problem went away. Maybe it is not truely a fuel issue, but a backpressure/computer issue? Had the pipes on for 3,000 miles and not a single...

Got my car back...and she's one pissed off 6!

Rygen, Your ride is amazing! Just when we think it can't get any cooler, you prove us wrong. Again. Pretty soon the FAA is going to repremand you for "flying" without proper flight plans!! :nice: SOHC

    headers

I definitely will NOT be going with headers. From all I've seen/heard they return small amounts of gain for big $$$. A set of full duals will give you as much if not more. Not like we are running a 1970 429CJ that had restrictive cast iron manifolds. Headers were awesome on that baby...

    T-lok installation ?

:) Ya, some people would say they are too loud (haven't met them yet). Still a set of GT takeoffs would let the V6 breathe a lot better. Forgot to mention as soon as I switched over to duals, the problem that I was having my Ford dealer investigate, "hesitation after long cruise" I...

    T-lok installation ?

+1 on the wet traction! Best mod for safety. -1 on your assessment of the duals. Best mod for enjoyment. Pypes True Duals w/ "X" pipe and Street Pros. Also am getting 2MPG BETTER mileage since the duals went on. Cruisin, I can get 32-34 MPG between 65-70 (not that I drive 65 often)...

Just some recent pics of the car....

 OMG that is amazing... I'd be afraid to drive it... No, I wouldn't!! I like the BOSS stripes... but I agree with cowtown, alter the FI lettering... SOHC :nice:

    Vista Blue or Performance White?

VISTA BLUE :nice: (Or as I call it after starting to mod, VISA BLUE)! Looks so sweet with 4" chrome tips under the bumper!!!! I have gotten TONS of compliments on the color. And the Pypes... SOHC

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

"Looks like mpg is seriously variable depending on how you drive it, and where, and at what speed." +10 Hi Pook, 30MPG in a V6 is respectable, but a GT?! Definitely the Master of control behind the wheel. I've seen the V6 guys bitchin' about getting under 20. I averaged 31.4...

    PypesOR H-Pipe

Hi 281ponies, Your car looks (and sounds) awesome! I'm only running a V6 but I have the Pypes setup with the "X" pipe. Between 2000-2500 RPM (I'm running 3.31 gears) the vibration and noise from these pipes is unreal under light to moderate acceleration. It sounds like a V8. The...

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

After the new Pypes went on, I've noticed 4 things: 1. No more bogging after a long cruise. 2. No more throttle-lag. 3. The ability to "coast" without more than 1 engine-braking per gear. 4. Better gas mileage. Today, I'm averaging over 30 MPG at 65-85. Yesterday after my fillup, this...

    Favorite "MyColor"

Blues and Purples here mostly. Greens and Reds once in a while. Now that I have the color charts I'm gonna try out the orange. :) Oh, BTW, I'm not advising anyone on this, but if you hold your brake pedal down so that the taillights light, you can adjust MyColor while driving...

    Painted mirrors

+1 on the entire mirror for lighter colored cars. Looks much more uniform. On the darker colors, just the insert would be a nice offset. SOHC

    Touch up paint

Mustangs must be subconsciously affecting the general public to "KISS OUR ASS"! And they are responding! SOHC PS: Proofing by stanmckinney

    Exhaust Upgrade for '05 V-6

Pypes True Duals with "X" and Street Pros! When I had these installed I picked up my car 30 minutes after closing on a Thursday. I had 3 mechanics, the service guys, 3 sales guys and a bunch of customers all standing around checking them out. I've worked in the auto biz in the past...

    T-lok installation ?

Hi Volcom8190 Had mine installed by my dealer. I had a bunch of other stuff done too, but it was around $350 (because I installed mine at 39,000 miles and they couldn't get the axle shafts apart). Took them 5 hrs. You also need new bearings and the friction modifier. Most guys also...
