K&N drop in filter, or Densecharger CAI?

I almost forgot to come back to this post. Considering the Densecharger? Sorry so dirty, but its an '01' Notice the MAF which is calibrated for the system, anyways I like it. OH wait I can hear the people coming to say "the MAF should never be changed on a NA car" OH well I like...

    X-pipe gains???

Gained about 6 inches on my 1-2 shift patch with the OR X. Thats with the 275 Kumhos, probably would have been more on those rock pizza cutters of stock meats though. Noticeable improvement, not sure I would count anywhere near 20rwhp with a catted x, even with the catback though.

K&N drop in filter, or Densecharger CAI?

I like my densecharger, look and performance. :nice: Some say they are not worth the money, but it was worth my money. The bullitt had a serious bend after the throttle body, and the corrugated pipe was crap stock. The densecharger solved both problems. Probably not a huge...

    Can a head/cams 2valve outrun a bolt on 4valve

Correct me if I'm wrong, but both cars shift the exact same number of gears, with the same trannys. So, the 2V even, with a bumped up rev limiter to 6.5k would shift to 4th probably about 2 sec sooner than the 4v. I don't know about you guys but my car pulls a heck of a lot harder in 3rd...

    Can a head/cams 2valve outrun a bolt on 4valve

Don't know many stock 2v bottom ends which will hold up to many 6800 rpm shifts bud.

    Can a head/cams 2valve outrun a bolt on 4valve

Otherwise=cars...........Higher redline in the 4v = more time in gear and on the gas for whatever length of a run. By split decision.......4v.

275 wide tires on stock 8" bullit rims.

I got em, but car domain's site is quirky right now, I do have some pictures posted in Stang city! :bang: Particularly the pics from the front are tell tale for the width of the tire. :D

    UPR Off Road X-pipe

The overall fit and finish of the pipe was great. I did not need any other gaskets bolts etc to bolt it up. It is raspy though, just like any other X. Gains were noticeable in the upper rpm range, and low rpm torque was not attected that much. BTW I ordered mine from nitrostangracing off...

Whats different btw the Windsor and Romeo 4.6s?

Did my own research, all 99+ stangs should have the windsor mortors. Yes differences in the crank journals and the jacking studs etc. Valve covers have different bolt patterns. 8bolt crank on the 99+s vs the 6bolt on the romeo. The romeo also has the windage tray on the cam galleries...

    Just installed my O/R X-pipe

I don't think my setup is as loud as yours, but yeah if you want attention, you can easily get it. I normally just keep the Rs below 1500 around the piggies. :D

Whats different btw the Windsor and Romeo 4.6s?

I was curious about a few differences in the Romeo vs the Windsor motors? Do most mustangs have the Romeo or the Windsor? I am sure there are a book full of differences, but I am most interested in the rods, pistons, and crank differences etc. Anyone have any good information? I found out...

Top 5 Bang for your Bucks 99-04

Let's not forget that most stangs are not stock, and should/would respond slightly better to ANY modification. The combination of mods are worth more than any ONE mod by itself.:nice: On a (completely) stock car replacing the cams might have a lesser effect because the mod is in the...

    Carbon fiber hood

There is a lot of different opinions about the cf hoods. I personally like them, especially on a Black car. FYI they also make cf hoods that have the tints in the cf. They have colors such as red blue and maybe YELLOW. If you have a yellow car you might like the look of the Yellow tinted...

    Best bang for 1K bucks

If I had 1000 just sitting around, I would probably start with cams, and a tune. If I was not ready for that I would probably get gears and exhaust. Bottom Line do what you want, It is your project, 99.9% of the pleasure comes from making your own decisions and seeing your horse become a...
