    Thinking of getting a Cobra...what to look for

    My jeep goes in reverse just fine. My mini goes in reverse just fine. My cobra hates reverse. Every cobra I have driven with a T-45 hates 1-2 and reverse. Then again t-56s get beat up on with hard 1-2 shifts, especially in camaros, all I'm saying is that it's something to look out for.

    Z06 of any year, it's not just the engine, it's the whole package. 600-700lbs is a lot of extra weight to be packing.

    110k replaced original spark plugs at 105k, original plug wires, original clutch.

    I have raced a 99 Z28 auto convertible on the freeway in my cobra. I had my top down, he had his top up, 3 people in his car, 2 people in mine. I pulled a length by 120. I also raced a LT1 camaro, not sure of year, no badges but it was an LT1 with exhaust. I pulled 3-4 lengths from 70 to 110...

    Looking at a 97 cobra

    I have a 97 vert. I don't know of any problem areas, other than the rear tires... Apparently people tried to steal the badges on my car so the paint is messed up around it. Also work the transmission through its paces b/c the T45 is not the strongest trans in the world. Its a great car...

    99 Cobra

    I have a 97 cobra and last night I pulled 1/2 a car on a 99 Z28. My top was down and his top was up. Learn how your car drives first then worry about mods. And if you really want to beat trans ams and z28s then go for a 96-98 (live axle) car. They are cheaper too :)

    didn't feel the need for such monsters...and I don't want rubbing problems. at all. used to have 235s front, 255s rear and they rubbed. plus I went 215s on the front for more front/rear contrast, rather than 225s. also, they were cheaper :D E-3's dont make THAT much money, ya know!
