    The fuel pump should have an audible hum or buzz when the key is on. The PIP aka stator is the sensor inside the distributor that the EEC uses to tell when to fire the coil (works in principle like the old school points setup). These often go bad on our cars and cause a no start condition...

    When you turn the key to 'on', do you hear the fuel pump? Check the plugs for a spark. It also could be the PIP inside the distributor on the fritz.

    Who went to the NMRA this weekend in Joliet Il.

    I was there and ran in ET-3. I managed to make it to the quarter finals :nice: where I faced a 9 second stang. I mis-judged how fast he was closing on me and didn't get on the brakes at the finish line and broke out :bang: I won a little cash and had a good time. Can't wait for next year...

    Begging for help...

    The Problems Continue

    Did you change the rear gears? If you did, the EEC cannot handle gears lower than 3.55. You have to get a chip to compensate.

    Pulled the codes...

    Is the C&L MAF using the correct sampling tube for the 30lb injectors? If you're running rich then this may be why. Normal fuel pressure is 38psi or so at idle. The bad O2s may be telling the EEC that the car is lean so the EEC is trying to add more fuel.

    Change the O2s. The EEC depends on them for idle/part throttle driving to set the injector pulse witdth (how long to keep them open). Bad O2s cause a number of other problems.

    Given my limited experience (WFC, NMRA @ RT66 last year), Many folks do use cash since a lot of the smaller vendors don't do CC either. I have seen some do manual transactions (call the CC company for authorization, write a manual reciept). Just takes longer but not as secure. I'll be there...

    Mac Exhaust, BBK 65mm TB 94 GT 5.0

    Are you still using the stock intake? If so, the opening is only 60mm so, the 65mm TB won't work unless you enlarge the intake. The CAI is ok to install. Just be carefull as the stock MAF sometimes freaks out if the tubing on the CAI has a bend in it that's too close to the MAF. The...

    Tire size?

    Remember, if you have ABS, the overall diameter of the front and rear tires must be about the same or the ABS computer will trip the ABS light because of the difference in wheel speed.
