    What Holly carb should I get?

    On my 302 i went from a 600 Vacuum Sec to a double pumper same cfm adn noticed a difference in the acceleration. The VS was a lot better fo my car. Once i got moving i couldnt tell a difference either.

    Head gasket for boosted application??

    I heard that o-ring gasket will cause you to melt a piston if you dont have you tune right, otherwise if you used non o-ring head gasket you would blow the gasket. has anyone else heard this? What would you recomend for 12lbs of boost?

    To get 400HP out of your 289 is possible, but you would be better of using a stroker kit. It would also be more steetable with more CI's.     Hesitation problems

    I had the same problem in my car. I took the tools i needed to abust the accelerator pump and air fuel mixture and went down the road stomping on the gas. My neighbors didnt like it but there over it now. I would put some money on it being your accelerator pump (If you carb not too old).
