    Contact patch has to do with the weight of the vehicle on the tire and the pressure inside the tire. IOW, sidewall height won't change the size of the contact patch. Especially not with a stiff, low profile sidewall.

    What size is the front tire? I don't know of any 235 tire that is the factory height for our cars. A 275/40/17 will be right, however. So the front tires are the wong diameter, and probably too small.

    ignore maxpowers. Merely replacing worn out suspension components is worth the money. Upgrading doesn't have to be much more expensive. And definitely get full length subframe connectors. It'll feel like a brand new car.
