    Some One Help Me Please!!!

Caps store up power so the amps have more voltage to use when they need more then you can supply. A car battery wasn't meant for us to be putting huge radio's, subs, 5 amps, neon lights, and all the goodies that we so love to use. A better way to get more stored voltage is to just add a second...

    Where to mount fuse holder?

Keep it close to the battery, if you use some black looming you can make the wire look somewhat factory, then you can ziptie the fuse holder to some of the other wires that are preexisting. Get a little creative here so you don't have the thing floping around.

NOT mustang related but audio problem

Yeah, you will need an "air bag safe test light" or a standard voltage meter. Check your constant, memory, and ground. Sounds as if your memory has broken.

    Questions about a system

Yeah, usually your high end equipment is at the "chop shops" as I like to call them. CC and BB normally do better installs because we get rewarded for good customer comments, good installs, and have a full bonus structer set up where the "chop shops" just want your car in and out so they can get...

    Kenwood DDX7015 install -- HELP!!!

Ok, I haven't personally seen a Mustang with a double DIN opening yet. You'll end up "iso-mounting" it. Find something, anything inside the opening that you can get the cage or Kenwood mounting brackets to stick to. Screws, hot glue, what ever works. It's out of sight so nobody except you will...

    Kenwood DDX7015 install -- HELP!!!

The DDX7015 is the video unit, correct? If so then it's a double din unit and if your putting it in your 04 stallion, there's no way it will fit. The biggest possible opening you would ever be able to use in a Stang would be 1.5 din without major modification to the dash board. Usually only a...

Help running power and speaker wire

With 1/0 wire, I usually drill a brand new hole, just remember to make it bigger then the wire and seal it up good after the wire is in place. Try to keep the power wire where it is easily managable - like not through the floorboard and not way up under the dash where you can't reach it. When...

    Questions about a system

It looks like a great set up, but 1 major flaw in it...we don't carry Alpine anymore. lol I don't know why, but we ditched Alpine and Best Buy picked them up. Today was the official launch for all of Circuit City's new products - Kicker amps/subs, Jensen head units, and our expanded line of...

    sound deadening doors

I, personally, haven't had a problem with water but have had air getting through my door so I would assume a little bit of water could possibly leak into it. As long as you are covering the whole door with the Edead, you shouldn't have a problem.

Bought Sub and Amp for 99+ Stang, Need Mounting Ideas

Yes, sorry, I couldn't find the correct word and it didn't sound right when I reread my typing. Thank you for the correction. A lot of people try to put L7's in the smallest possible sealed box and end up going too small because they try to measure only air space and not total volume which...

    Questions about a system

The Alpine decks you are looking at can only support 4 speakers. 6 speakers would place too low of a load on the deck, frying it. Dash speakers would probably be 4", door speakers are probably 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" but you may not have factory door speakers, rears are more then likely 5"x7" or...

Bought Sub and Amp for 99+ Stang, Need Mounting Ideas

Well, to save space, I would definatly mount the amp to the rear deck and push the NoS bottle as far to the side as you can. As for the custom box, maybe look through Crutchfield.com to get some ideas. There's millions of possibilities.

    radio help

I think your best route of attack would be to check into any warrenty it may have and see if they can offer you a replacement. Clarion has a good reputation and shouldn't have many problems. If it's a motorized face, you may just have a bad ribbon and replacing it isn't very expensive. But...

How many watts can I handle?

Even better, most people get discouraged by the price of 1/0 wireing. That's what I use for my 2 MTX 1501D's and my MTX 6304.

    Hello!

Heh, until you have walked a mile in someones shoes, you don't know how confortable they are. You are slightly correct in my hourly wage, it's under $15/hr but my monthly bonuses far exceed my hourly wage and double my pay scale each month. I'm not saying I'm paid the best or that I'm wealthy by...

    Hello!

I'm new to the Stangnet forums and wanted to introduce myself in the sound section. I'm an automotive installer for Circuit City. I install remote starts, alarms, radio's, speakers, amps, subwoofers, neons, and I build custom speaker boxes on the side. I don't claim to know everything about car...

    Costum Sub Box?

That's a very nice installation on those 2 10's. Do not and I repeat, DO NOT combine sizes of subwoofers. Their phases will not be the same and you will hear base twice from the 2 sizes and it will absolutely sound like crap. 15" Subwoofers have more of a rumble, like thunder 12"...

    Questions about a system

Those Fosgates should saffice for the fronts although I would recomend Infinity components. Stay away from Blahphkutkshyfghthres speakers, they suck. The only thing that they make that is even remotly decent is CD Changers. I would not suggest Infinity for the rear because they tend to dry rot...
