    Thanks Chelle- the 71-73 stuff is chromed. There is a company that restores (Mr G), but it costs bigtime (maybe $800 for all pieces). I'm gonna mask and try... We'll see.... Mike ****EDIT: It appears that some of the areas on the 71-73 are silver and some are chrome****

    back at it... I'm still trying to figure this out..... If I push the clips in from the top, it would appear that the clips remain visible from the top. I can't figure out how to bury the tops of the clips in the rubber. It sure won't look good if you see a bunch of clips. ?????? Maybe...

    How much slip yoke shaft ?

    My 72/429/C-6 seems to have too much shaft showing, meaning my driveshaft is too short. I used driveline from a parts car that apparently didn't have the right stuff. It is showing about 3". Anyone know what wouyld be the correct amount so I can get this shaft extended? THANKS.

    No, I should be able to get them in. I have another parts car with the seal intact I can use as a reference. You confirmed they were installed correctly on the parts car, so I'm good to go. Thanks.

    My car has an accordian type opening that looks like a cable or wires went through it where the column seals on the firewall. I'm guessing speedo cable, but anyone know for sure? Thanks.
