    BEST RADIATOR?

It doesn't sound like the radiator is the problem. I would make sure you don't have a blown head gasket. I would also pressure test the radiator and make sure that the cap is still good. But if you really want to replace it, look into AFCO (www.afcoracing.com) nice piece for a good price...

So….can I have a decent stereo and room for my clubs at the same time?

heres the cover board, you can see the holes that are drilled for the subs, the board is 1/4" mdf, it is strong enough but not too heavy. The total height of the "false floor" is the same as the top of the capacitor, so that should be about 4" the old carpet itself was about an inch thick so I...

So….can I have a decent stereo and room for my clubs at the same time?

I built a sub box for my car in the spare tire well, it fits two 10" mtx 8000 series subs, they are relatively tall, but i only had to raise the floor about 3-4 inches and they have enough air space. The amp is mounted to the top of the box, I had mine set up like the picture above but the...

    Pistons for S/C application

I need to rebuild my motor, but the rebuild kit from summit with the forged pistons is 10.13:1 compression, I also want to put a supercharger on it this summer, so I was hoping that someone could suggest a good kit with forged pistons that would work for me, or I could buy the hypereutectic kit...

85 Heater Core=Cut Box To Replace

There is a reason that repar manuals have pictures, I read your post and I really can't visualize most of the fabrication. It has been a while since I change my heater core though. I didn't think it was that bad, but it only took me about 6 hours.

    Fuel pump 190 or 255

I am going to buy a vortech a trim, and I need to know if I should get the 190lph or 255lph fuel pump, I will probably be running 30# injectors, stock lightly ported heads, intake and full exhuast. What kind of power levels will the 190/255 support?

    Cobra tail pipe question.

take it to an exhuast shop, because no matter what tailpipes you buy they won't fit, especially the flowmaster kit. The pipes wil have to be lengthened (or shortened) and moved down. I got the flowmaster kit, and had some 3" chrome tips put on it. Make sure that the pipes are not too close to...

    Finally sprayed but more problems

You have to take into consideration that the difference between 112-120+ and 91-100 are two completely different things. As the ETs decrease the amount of horsepower required increases exponentially, it is not a linear proportionallity. However I think that 4 mph should be a reasonable goal...

    Finally sprayed but more problems

So you expect to run 120+mph trap speeds with an 80 shot?? I think that you should be a little more realistic. I would say that .5-.7 seconds off your ET would be about right, but 12.8s don't equate to 120+mph trap speeds. sorry to break it to you. :bang:

    Too Much Bass??

I have a friend who went as far as to take down the headliner and put 3 layers of dynamat on the roof, he also jammed fiberglass insulation into all the side panels, he had a competition loud stereo though, he was tuning it one day and got a nose bleed! He must have added about 300 pounds of...

    fox brakes suck

This is totally unrelated, but I was looking at your website (stangbear427) and I noticed there is a brace from the bottom of the pumpkin that runs forward, what is that?

    quick subframes questions

The cross member that connects to the seat bolts is going to be better, it wont let the seat bolts rip the sheet metal (floor pan). Steeda makes round subframes that have the option of cross members, however I have heard that the rectangular ones are just as strong, offer better ground...

Oops, maybe cut springs too much?

Unless you are building a drag car I wouldn't bother putting 4 cyl spring in, they are going to ride like crap, and chances are they are going to camber out just like any other lowering spring, springs are not expensive, save yourself a headache and buy lowering springs. Not trying to break...

    fox brakes suck

You have to adjust the rear drums ALL the time, thats why you get a bunch of dust on your front wheels, chances are the drums are doing about 10% of the stopping and the disks are taking up the other 90. If you get the drums adjusted right it should stop half way decent and the pedal feel...

    Trac-lok going?

If you only spin one wheel you definately have a bad diff. Some diffs make noise when it is cold, especially right when you start driving because the oil has not circulated and the engagement will be a little noisy.

Clunking noise from rear when accelerating from a stop

Could be a bad diff, could be a bad U joint. I would check for play in the u joint first (but with three clunks, its doesn't sound likely), if thats the case get an aluminum drive shaft. If that not the case I would have someone watch to see if both tires spin wheel you dump the clutch. If...
