    put my new 9" in but....problems

    Loose U-bolts, without lowering blocks caused my 8" to blow up... Loose bolts let my rear to bounce and vibration cracked pinion gears inner support... I lost rear´s case, driveshaft, rear U-joint, both silencers, and Radiator. I also have HOLE and some dents in the floor... Consider yourself...

    Well, the whole suject is pretty depressing :rolleyes: I ha ve around 20k euros (parts cost here 1,4 times$) invested in my notchback, and if I would EVER sell it, 10k would be a good deal.... But, if we think it as a hobby, 7 years for a 20 k euros... thats cheap... :rolleyes...

    Changing diff fluid in an 8"

    Just lift put your car on jack stands, and unscrew those u-bolts, and u-bolts holding driveshaft. Then flip the whole rear 90 degrees. This is the way to get all the debris out, and to be sure everything is ok. Personally I don´t have to do this, cause my pinion gear came to see me... ;)

    I´ve had no probs with my HEddman swap shorties. Perhaps you should first try them and then get them coated?? Some people here have done that with less exotic combo than what you have.

    I switceh to Recaro LS´s.. Needed 30 $ rails and self made 60 mm wide alu level rods under them... Original polt width was 60 mm off (30/side). ... and I couldn´t imagine better seats.. I bought mine used. They can be found in Ford Sierra Cosworths and some M3s.

    Well you are not the only one... Cracked my case on evening Sunday... Lost a driveshaft, both silencers and an alu-radiator... I just hope I can get it back together with some euros... Salvage yards for Stangs aren´t so common here in Finland...

    I will, if I just jhad the time... Today I got my new plates (they made pretty carefull examination to my baby ,but let it pass...) They didn´t notice my Negative wedge kit and near 2" drop on A-arms :) Car handles great, allthough I have little slack on the wheel... So maybe next winter...

    If you launch a joke, there is always possibility to be misunderstood. So maybe Jon should also look into mirror. And you must admit, those wheels look terrible. Mine looked just the same 1995, when I bought it... 265´s rubbing even with fenderflares :shrug:
