    Until then check the tag on the rear that is in the car against the donor rear. If the one in the car is a 7.5 from a 4cyl it more than likely has 3:55 gears. If that is the case all you need to do is find the correct speedo gear and swap it. Real simple to do. I just don't remember where to...

    Did the transmission come out of the 93 as well? It could be that you have the wrong speedo gear in the tranny. Other than that there should be no reason (that I can think of) for it to run faster than the speed you are going. The speedo cable has nothing to do with that.

    The 2.3 is a big pancake booster. The 5.0 is more like a barrel. I don't know if there is much mechanical or pressure difference between the two though.

    I know my clutch pedal sticks out farther than the brake pedal (went from 4cyl to 351W with Tremec 3550). From what I have seen the orig stds don't do that so there may be some difference.

    What CFM carb for my combo?

    I have a Carter 625 on my 351W with Edebrock RPM cam and intake, LT's, 21/2 pipes. Works great. If you drive the car alot, I'd go with the Carter or Edelbrock. They are more reliable as daily drivers. If you are building a strip monster go Holley.

    Steering wheel bolt

    If no one knows the size, does anyone have a service manual that might have the information in it. All I need to know is the correct size for the bolt. I think I may be able to run a tap through the column and repair the threads there, but I still need the correct bolt.
