    Paint hides a lot!

Man that looks a lot worse than what I initially saw. What would cause all that dimpling?

    Paint hides a lot!

That all looks pretty normal for a 40yo car imo. In fact it's in pretty good shape. Check the rear wheel wells and in the sides of the trunk.

Is it possible to build a NEW classic?

Yeh why is that? I would have thought that the 69 (and 70 for sure), being (IMO) the most cliche sort of badass muscle car that it would have been the most popular and had the most following. But maybe that's just my opinion. It's not all that bad though. Trying to get even secondhand parts...

    The SN65 project car

Good luck to them. I'd love to build awesome cars and sell them. I guess they'd have to be rather unique cars to catch enough dollars to be worth it but it'd be fun. I don't think I could though. If I built it to my taste I'd want to keep it, and I don't think I'd be passionate enough to build...

Is it possible to build a NEW classic?

Yeh I know I've seen a few things in one particular catalogue that are available for 67-68 but not 69 - clutch pedals for one.

Has anyone checked out AJE's new front end?

I've heard that said several times about mcpherson strut. Surely the camber gain designed into the front suspension is similar in the different styles of independant front suspension - leading to the same performance with respect to suspension compression. I know that the camber gain would...

Is it possible to build a NEW classic?

With the dynacorn 67 bodies coming out, and as they say on their website 69 bodies in a few years, and my own life leading me to wanting to build my own classic / street machine as a project not a driver / work on it, I have come up with a question. Would it be possible to get all "new"...

My Mustang with Air Ride and big billet wheels

Very cool! That's the first 71-73 that I've really liked! Nicely done.

    Concept Mustang from Italy

Agreed - especially the tail lights.

How does an engine make a car unstreetable?

To me the main parameter of streetability is - How easy is it to drive slowly? As engines become more powerful they tend to act like on/off switches. You lose low-speed torque, which is necessary for slow driving, to gain the maximum power. Fun cars are built for torque. Power, a reasonable...

    HOW DO YOU GUYS KNOW....

I agree with Bullet - you need a gaol and to research that goal. I read about combos people have built, and what they put out, the different technologies and products and how they work. Things like ceramic coatings and blue-printing (tolerancing) I think about the pure theory and if it makes...

1970 Boss, Help me choose my wheels!

I also agree it's hard to beat those magnums on the 69/70 but I also agree with you that his wheel choice is tasteful - it's modern but with a classic feel.

What can you do with a wrecked '03 Aussey Falcon...

Marshall was going to give me a ride in that last year some time but he took it to another state. I should find out if it's coming back. It is nicely done, too over-the top with modernism (the interior) for my taste, but I can appreciate it.

    Are Roller Cams Worth It?

I agree with those, the roller definitely is an improved solution. Cam break in has always worried me a little - something about revving a brand new, cold, unloaded motor gives me the willies.

    Are Roller Cams Worth It?

I didn't define responsiveness as more power, in fact I thought of it as you do. Have another look, I basically said what you did. The advantage I see of the roller cam is the ability to maintain responsiveness (by not having too much duration and overlap) while allowing better breathing...

    TKO 500 in a classic

Yeh an FE would be tough, however I was just thinking with a 302W or even 351W. You probably would need custom headers though.
  17. Route666

    Are Roller Cams Worth It?

Don't roller cams allow faster ramps? Are the gains from having faster opening and closing and the same overlap and duration not worth it? They should allow better breathing but maintain more low-speed response than a similar-flowing flat-tappet cam with more duration / overlap right? EDIT: -...

    TKO 500 in a classic

I've heard several people say that it is slightly better with later models but to truly get the correct angle cutting is require, or lowering of the engine slightly. I think lowering would work on earlier models, but it'll have to be more extreme lowering, requiring a split sump with a hose for...
