    Predator Question

Has it been installed on your carn yet? If not, it will work on any '05. If it has been installed you will only be able to use it on another vehicle if you load the stock tune back into you car first. Then I think it will work, but call Diablosport to be sure.

    85 vs. 86 vs. 87> engines

There was a strike in 1985 that shut down production for a while. There were some minor changes in the cars built pre- and post strike. I don't know what all of the changes were. I just remember that there were some differences.

Which springs & shocks? + alignment question...

That really depends on the store youo go to and the individual technician working on your car. Some will just adjust them to factory specs, completely forfeiting the performance gain you could have gotten by increasing the caster and tuning the camber to your driving habits. The good shops...

Which springs & shocks? + alignment question...

The reason I keep mentioning how far you can lower the car is because the first post mentions wanting to lower the car up to 1.75 inches.

Which springs & shocks? + alignment question...

Coilovers don't do a d*** thing to change the roll center geometry. The only part of the geometry that really change is the motion ratio of the spring compression. You still don't want to lower the car more than 1.3 inches unless you fix the roll center.

87-92 forged piston are dished too, but the dish is REALLY small, and there are 4 valve reliefs.

questions on maf, injectors, and a/f

More air shouldn't make it run lean if the MAF is reading the increase in air. Could be the change in throttle position sensors or some other combination of factors.

questions on maf, injectors, and a/f

There is no reason why you couldn't run the Pro M calibrated for 30s with the stock computer. There are some fine tuning advantages and slight driveabilty issues that can be cleaned up with a chip, PMS, tweecer etc. but there is no reason it shouldn't run OK with just the stock computer. I...

Help Me! Car hums on the highway!

If it makes a difference what gear it is in, then it is transmission or engine-speed related. Does it make a difference if you are coasting or accelerating? Clutch in or clutch out? Neutral or in 4th?

questions on maf, injectors, and a/f

YOu recalibrate for the injectors twice. The meter was calibrated for 30 lb injectors, so it is sending a smaller voltage signal. The computer thinks it is a stock air meter with 30 lb injectors, so it is adjusting the way it reads the MAF signal and leaning the mixture accordingly. You...

    Roller lifter question

The "vent" hole is the oil pressure hole. That is where pressurized oil enters the lifter so it hydraulicly adjusts

    Need help w/ my clutch

A bad throwout bearing could cause a popping noise. But it could be many things. Probably not the flywheel. Hard to say what it is without looking at the car. Get the car up on jackstands. Take the inspection cover off of the bellhousing by the clutch fork (if it is still on). Have someone...

Which springs & shocks? + alignment question...

If you want the BEST handling, dont go lower than 1.3 inches unless you correct the roll center geometry with the X2 balljoint or re-drilled K-member.

    85 vs. 86 vs. 87> engines

The compression was also raised in 1986, so that is some of your torque gain. Compression ratios: 1985 8.4:1 (I think) 1986 9.2:1 1987 9.0:1 I've heard that 1985 heads are basically the same as E7TE heads except they don't have the cutouts that let you remove the roller lifters while...

Need advise on removing harmonic balancer

Look closely on the spokes of the balancer. There should be 3 small threaded holes - one in each spoke - unless they made a running change to the balancer.

    Help...Can't figure this out(Clutch Problems)

JT87NAT, Yeah, I was talking to wht93gtEd. In his case it would make a difference because there is not enough adjustment built into the cable to make up the difference. It shouldn't apply to you. My guess is that the cable sheath is actually crushing, not that the cable is getting longer...
