Would a King Cobra clutch be good enough for my car?

I drive with a stage 3 spec every day, no problem. That said, I think that a stage 2 would be all that he needs. I agree that a stage 4 is too much for a stock transmisson.

    S-trim fuel settings?

What is the rest of the engine combination? What heads, intake and cam? I see your location is "Northport." That's not Northport, Long Island, New York is it?

PLEASE HELP just installed UPR coil overs and they rub on 245 tire!

Unfortunately this is a very common problem. The pure road race guys run very short stiff springs that sit up above the tire. The pure drag race guys run skinnys, so they have no clearance issues. The street guys kind of get stuck in the middle with a clearance problem. You can use a...

How do I check the caliper Slide pins?

The pads may wear crocket even if the pins are straight. That's waht S.S. caliper guide sleves are for: keeps the caliper straigher so the pads wear more evenly and clamp more effectively.

Would a King Cobra clutch be good enough for my car?

The King Cobra is supposed to have the same holding power as the HD with 10% less pedal effort. If that is what you mean by 10% better, then yes. If you mean 10% more holding power, then no, it doesn't have it.

    top end power

I second the intake and X pipe. Both will shift the power to a higher rpm and make more top end power. Can I assume you've bumped the timing? Shorty headers are also a good mod for the '93. (More gains than you would get on a later '94-95 5.0). If you are going to keep the car mostly...

    Weird Clutch Feel

New clutches are always easier to push in than old worn out ones. It is probably just lighter than you expect because it is a V6, so the clutch doesn't have to be as strong. I can get you a stage 3 clutch with a higher pedal effort and more clamping power, but it sounds to me like he has the...

    Quad Shocks

The "bounce" from megabites & southsides isn't the same as conventional wheelhop. It happens when the tires plant so hard the back of the car rises to the end of it's suspension travel, momentarily unloading the tires. The quads don't directly limit this. Adjustable rear shock valving...

    Quad Shocks

The megabites you have alter the geometry so that engine torque pushes the tires down for more traction. Conventional wisdom says take the quad shocks off so this toque reaction works better. However, I have found that some cars get a bounce, where the car leaves hard the first 2 feet and...

    Clutch installation

Tape a paper cup over the end of the transmission tailhousing or stick the driveshaft yoke back in to keep the fluid from pouring out when you lower and raise the transmission.

    clutch/TOB/flywheel

The Spec clutches I have on the shelf have a metal TOB. I just checked. If you got 67,000 miles from the stock clutch, Stage 1 is all you need right now. But if you really are going to put a T-56 and 31 spline rear in it you might as well upgrade to stage 2 so it all matches. Those are...

    clutch/TOB/flywheel

Are you going to put drag radials or slicks on the car? How many miles are you getting out of the stock clutch? If you only have regular street tires and are easy in the clutch, stage 1 may be all you need. It is rated for 420 lb ft of torque. If you know you are going to be more aggressive...

    clutch/TOB/flywheel

Yeah, the spec stage 4 will grab harder than the centerforce DF. It grabs so hard that it is only recommended for heavy duty transmissions. Stage 4 has solid hub. Pedal effort should be about the same as the spec stage 3: firm but not bad considering the holding power.

    clutch/TOB/flywheel

I've got them on the shelf and run one in my daily driver. What are you looking for; Power level, pedal feel, etc?

    clutch/TOB/flywheel

Describe the "little rocker arm" better. Do you mean the clutch fork? Do the just fingers of the clutch where the throw out bearing rides wobble or does the whole clutch wobble? It could just be normal engine vibration. Look at he crank pulley on the front of the engine. Does the...

Plugging air pimp holes in heads?

This is the easiest way to go. As was said, the stock holes will be caked with carbon and a real pain to thread in, unless the heads are new.

    Intake back fire!!???

T--- is that you? Wait until I get my dyno put in and we can fix it. This is very common with these cars after adding a cam. A little more fuel pressure will cure it, but sometimes it costs a little peak horsepower. New O2 sensors will warm up faster and make the lean-pop go away quicker.

    Supercharged Problem

I'm not quite in New England, but pretty close. Lots of experience tuning centrifugal superchargers on a Dynojet. Will have my new Mustang Dyno in about 2 months.

    Supercharged Problem

Thre is no reason you can't get that thing running good with the stock computer, but you definately need more information to tune this car right. You said the tuner "shut it off" at 4800 rpm. Do you mean he shut it off on the dyno or he set the rev limiter on the MSD? If you hit the MSD rev...
