    Speaking from personal experience I took my bbk catted xpipe off recently and put an off road H-pipe on it. The Gas smell is powerful, and the car is a lot louder.

    I would change it along with the flywheel while you're in there. Be a good time to look at your rear main seal also.

    Yes the release bearing slides over, the race bearing goes inside where the retainers bolts to the tranny. Thats a good steel (retainer) one so it shouldnt let you down. http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/2-3-mustangs/199493-2-3-t5-answers.html See number 58 and 59.

    Yes the aluminum retainers gets grooves worn into it over time. Often times leading to a stiff pedal or popping noise when engaging/disengaging the clutch. The race bearing that im refering to goes inside the retainer and slides over the shaft. The routing on the cable should be a long swooping...

    Your throw out bearing shouldnt keep going out. I wouldnt throw 5-6 hundy at it to try and resolve the issue when more than likely the retainer on the transmission just needs to be replaced. Get a steel one for 40-50 bucks and make sure you lube everything up real good before you reinstall...
