    LONG TUBE VS SHORTY HEADERS

My opinion would be, go with the long tubes. It also comes down to where in the RPM range that your power comes on. If you're spending the bucks on a 408ci, than what's another five hundred or so for long tubes w/ coating. There might have to be a bend in one of the cylinder tubes, but for the...

    leaf spring suspension question

I would go with the five leafs. I have the mid-eye, 4 1/2 leaf. I believe the spring rate is a little soft in the upper mph range. i am looking into 5 leafs or a monoleaf spring.

Input from those w/ Edelbrock IAS (I did search)

no problems at all. the install problem is getting the bar thru the cap, that holds the shock in. it just takes some twisting, using NO force. sometimes it just falls into place when you ease up on the pressure. there's a collar that holds the boot on, that makes it tight.

    re-chrome or repo bumper guards?

I think, if you're gonna have issues. it's with the bumper, not the guards. My bumpers, are about 99 9/10 the size of my originals. the rrs were not a problem, but the front doesn't fit correctly. IIRC my guards lined up fine.

    what changed ??!!!??

sure, too early or too late firing. that's why, when you turned the distributor it fired right up. its off a little. check your firing order also. it's VERY easy to switch wires when reinstalling. EVEN if you changed them one at a time. It happens.

    what changed ??!!!??

okay. next, you had to remove the distributor to do the intake, correct. I think you might be off a tooth or so. it's very easy, when reinstalling. even though you marked the housing, the teeth and rotor may turn while reinstalling.

    what changed ??!!!??

If you're by yourself, you can always turn the key on and jumper the solenoid.

    what changed ??!!!??

I wouldn't doubt the dist moved a little.. If you loosen it and turn it a little, will the car start. Even w/o a light you should still be able to get it running. Are you sure you have gas? (not trying to be funny)

    Ignition Problem

that sounds like a wire from the start pos of the switch to the solenoid. use a jumper, and see if it starts. Jumper, as in behind the switch, to the solenoid. you don't need to go thru the firewall yet, because this might not be it. But when you switched the wires, that was the switched 12v...
