    Interesting problem

At least you're narrowing the problem. Make sure its not from the connector thru the firewall. If not, then its w/in the column. You might get lucky and take the horn button apart. It might be shorting in there. look at the turn signal cam. Do the turn signals work correctly when you use the...

    Interesting problem

your wiring loom comes out of the steering column, into the engine compartment at the base of the column. I would suspect, that engaging the pedal, vibrates the wires in the column. I would suspect the horn and turn signal wire are chafing.

    Has anyone bought parts from

If you paid by CC, then you have to wait 15 days. After that, they will dispute the charges for you. Basically, they have to provide proof of shipment, such as a tracking number. No proof of sending it out, they have no case. You get reimbursed! This not only goes for products, but services...

    shock absorber removal question

that's why you have to remove the caps. you must rotate the shock almost upside down. and twist and rotate. it's a trick. sometimes after trying for a while, you stop and let the parts relax, it falls thru the hole! actually, hold the shock, and twist and rotate the cap. like I said before...

    shock absorber removal question

No, if I remember correctly, you have to twist the shock in a certain direction. So you have to remove the cap to get that done. The bar and the collar on the shock made me take it off. Good thing it's only three nuts per side. if you're just doing shocks, they have to come out thru the top...

    Early 68 sans markers?

Again, there are LEGAL exemptions. But, to think you're immune is pure dreamin. I just met someone today w/ a no front plate fix-it. a $8 cost to have it signed off. Don't happen any more. PLEASE It's up to the cop as to what he's going to ticket you for today. Besides, there is NO LEGAL way...

    Early 68 sans markers?

There's a reason for SIDE marker lamps after 67, for ALL manufacturers. And it's not cosmetic. Lowered, raised, exhaust, engine mods, there are laws for these mods. That's why the classic car industry, in the last few years, have encouraged us all to write our Congressmen to change some of these...

    Early 68 sans markers?

As a fellow 67 owner, I concur w/ the above. Amazing people who modify their car, and don't realize it's ILLEGAL!!! :nono: :nono: I believe it's not SELL the vehicle. It's just altering it to not conform with Federal Safety Standards for 1968 and on. Get a 67 if you don't want marker...

Exhaust Manifold leak? Oh i think so...

if there wasn't rust I would suggest those, but....Look at salvage yards for your manifold. shouldn't cost more than $40. Where are you located?

    Is this a good deal?

I think that is a stretch for NO RUST. You can clearly see in the drip rail pic, the welds to the left is a patch job. the bottom of the windshield, is a continuation of the rust problem. this WILL BE trouble. Are you a welder. fixing the drip rail and windshield pillar is MAJOR work. HARDER...

Exhaust Manifold leak? Oh i think so...

if you want to get the car back running in the mean time, the drilling and retapping is fast and easy! if the studs break off the rest of the way, or strip. Just drill them out and retap. 1 hour at the most with all the supplies in hand. You don't need to remove the heads to do this. the drill...

Exhaust Manifold leak? Oh i think so...

after letting them soak with the penetrating oil, you might be able to double nut the long studs and back them out that way. the short was is going to be tough. if all else drill and retap.
