    Black smoke is gas. Blueish grey is oil. White is water. My car did that a few times was just a loose battery cable when I'd hit the gas it would make the car stall from moving the cable a little.

    I think the hose clamps will be of if i put them after the lip on the ends of the filter. The line has hose clamps in a coupe other places and doesn't leak.     I had 3" pipe with dumps on a 93 I had sounded good put anytime you're in gravel or something just throws dust and dirt all over car. Sucks if you have a dark color car and want it clean. I like normal set up better.

    I would go with either stock mounts and a clevice or prothane or energy suspension polyurethane mounts. Solid ones will cause vibration and can be a little hard on the frame. Just my opinion...

    Muzzy the guy that builds bikes says you wanna heat the engine up before rings het hardened from heat cycles and make a couple of hard pulls to get the rings to seal good from the first heat cycle before they harden from heating and cooling.
