    Trans AM

I sold it back in October for another bike. I pretty much lurk a lot now.

    quad shock ?

I'd replace them. Believe it or not they serve a purpose as the Mustangs suspension you have isn't the greatest design. Leaving them in will help, unless you go with a TA/PHB/LCA setup.

    Trans AM

Just go out and race him. if he wins, mod the car some more, but simply a bolt on car driven by a good driver is a mid 12 second car. I am not going to get into LS1's and how they react to mods. GL

Worst Service ever at Livernois Motorsports

Ok maybe he did committ to them because they were (like many shops do) expecting parts to arrive on time. Sadly there are times when parts are delayed which can and can't be controlled by the shop. Also finding additional problems during the repairs/installs also delays original estimates(that...

HELP! HELP! 96 COBRA Loss of Power At Hight RPM

 Try gapping them at .035 and see what that does. Also have you checked the wires for any arcing? What about the A/F sensors(what are they reading?) and is the MAF clean?

    4.6l Dohc !!!

Yes, for the most part that will bolt right in. Might as well get a 96-98 Cobra intake as they bolt on the B heads of the 93-97 Mark VIII. You can also do a short runner intake w/ a IMRC delete(you will need to 4.30's or more to overcome to the torque loss) and enjoy more mid-high range power w/...

    Noob with clutch question

IIRC, they all have the adjuster on the clutch pedal unless it has been removed. Like it has been said. With the car off, in gear, just pull up on the clutch pedal slightly until you hear clicking. Welcome BTW.

NOT your typical LT header ?

My old 97 sat lower in the front and I had LT's. The car would scrape if i took a bump head on and sometimes even if i went at an angle. It wasn't that bad, but can be a pain if you weren't careful.

    Another LT1 talking

Now some more info is coming out by the other kid. Those gears are dogs. Even the LSx cars had them too.

    Another LT1 talking

It all depends. I have seen LT1 auto's with a cold air kit and mufflers run 13.6 and stock ones run 13.8 w/ a m6. OP- I have been around racing and modding numerous Mustangs, owned a few myself and numerous LT1's and LSx cars. There is no way in hell you beat a bolt on LT1 with exhaust,( they...

    rear end gears

If the rear gears are changed and the speedometer gear is changed accurately to the right gear, then no, the miles are true. Now if you change rear gears and do not change the speedo gear or put the wrong one in, then yes the miles will be off.

best way to seal the slip joint on LT's?

I would use the dynomax clamp. Many have used it with great success.

Diablo Sport and Gears for a '98 cobra

No, the pre-99's speed are mechanical. A Speedcal will work to recalibrate it. I recommend 4.30 gears though.

    Lowering springs/suspension

It all depends on what you are looking for and what the car needs to do. on my old Cobra, I ran FRPP B Springs, MM LCA's and it lowered my car nicely. It just caused the headers to scrape.

    Best front brake pads?

When I had my Cobra, I had the HPS with zero issues. Definitely recommend them.

    Subaru people?

Yes, If I recall it does have 2 belts. I know the Justy's have a chain and a belt, but we don't see many of those.

    whats holding me back

Well you have a GT and you installed the engine. So if you did not install a new ECU that answers that question. I am not sure if the GT ECU's are the same as the Cobras and just the tuning parameters are different. PM SVTTech on here as he is a Ford Technician.

What LT headers to go with?

I have had flowtechs on for almost 3 years with no problems.
