    I had a 89 GT that did this and eventually sold it I was so mad. My buddy bought it and changed the actual piece you put your key into, and I believe he changed something else in there. Never had that problem again. I was angry because I lost a lot of money on that car.

    My 93 has HCI, b303. It is very cold hearted. It has to warm up before it will idle on it's own. I've got it set to around 900 rpm.     He's at home tinkering now. The tach was off by 1000 for one thing. Bu t when you turn the wheel and measure the driveshaft it puts it at 2.73s. Transmission HAS to be a 4 cylinder just as 5L5 and others have said.
