    Those gears used to be fairly cheap and easy to replace. I just bought 4 or so and replaced them and checked them with either another car or one of those roadside "radar checks" (there is one near my house).

    Thats a lot of money for something with no speakers. I am thinking that the setup that chelle came up with and the addition of a directional mounted tweeter would work pretty well. $6 for the pair of rings, $25 for the kickpanels and then whatever you want to spend on speakers is not too bad...

    I have been waiting for years for someone to put some compition to those speaker panels. They are CRAZY expensive, with or without speakers included. Its too bad that they dont make something like this that is a little more car friendly...

    need more info. You say it vibrates at that rpm, but in gear or out of gear? Will it vibrate while sitting still.....by just revving the engine up? If so have you tried pulling spark plug wires one at a time and found one that does not change the way it runs? Any plugs fouled? tried jacking...

    I know holleys better than anything else, but I think the screws you are referring to are the idle mixture screws. Basically once you put your foot on the throttle it goes to the main metering circuit. I dont know how for did it for the factory style carbs. It will either be replacable...
