first ever undercarriage rear end/suspension shot of the 05 mustang

We should all be thankful that the fuel tank has finally been moved from the "most likely to explode" location to a more protected area!!

    Highway Patrol Mustangs??

I almost received one of my few speeding tickets from a cop in Nebraska who was driving a '89 LX 5.0. We discussed the merits of auto vs. stick for police work. I owned a '88 LX 5.0 at the time but was driving a 4 cylinder K-car when he nabbed me doing going 70 in a 55. He showed pity on a...

    New Mustang assembly plant

The following link has an article regarding the move of the Mustang assembly line from Dearborn to Flat Rock. There are some interesting comments regarding the assembly of the prototypes. http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=17836 :)

05 vert caught on the street!

Ford hasn't used vinyl on their Mustang convertibles for years. My '00 has a two layer cloth top. The new Cobra is three layers. Hopefully, the three layer will be used on all '05 models for better sound insulation.

$3-$4 a Gallon for Premium Gas + 18 mpg Mustang

Why does your 3.1 Grand Prix get such lousy mileage? I rented a 3.4 liter Grand Am last week and averaged 30 mpg over 600 interstate miles.

05 vert caught on the street!

White with a black top is probably the ugliest color combo for a vert with the top up. Am I the only one who noticed the price of gas!!! Glad I don't live there.

    saw a Bullitt yesterday

I looked at a new '04 GT without the rear wing this week. Much better looking than with the wing. I also saw a '04 GT 'vert. $31,800 :( Yikes!! My '00 only listed for 2$27,995 and I didn't see anything on the '04 that I didn't have.

    2005 mustang sited

Arizona and Michigan are the two best areas for spotting pre-production vehicles. You gotta laugh at the "camo" on the Mustang when the car is being displayed at auto shows all over the country. I used to spend a lot of time driving the back roads of Michigan making ag sales calls and saw just...

    2005 Windveil Blue Mustang GT

For the first time these photos show some Aston Martin influence in the front end styling. I like it. For those who want a hood scoop, a broad Boss 429-like scoop would look good and I am sure the aftermarket will have one available. Also, look for one on future models. I'm going for...

Is there a current vehicle that uses the '05 V-6 4.0?

I have seen headers for the 4.0 in an Explorer.

    CNBC Reports 05 Under 20000 w/ 300HP

Absolutely no way will the GT be under $25k. Ford is not going to "de-content" a Mustang when the V6 will have power windows, etc.

    CNBC Reports 05 Under 20000 w/ 300HP

Back in the early days of the 5.0 LX, the V8 package was $1500. For that you got the engine, 5-speed manual, bigger brakes, wheels, tires, and suspension. I paid $11,990 for my brand new 1988 LX hatchback. List was $12,900.

    Turbo V-6

The simple answer is Ford doesn't need one. They have V-8's instead.

    05' Mustang weight

Ford is predicting 3450 for the GT and 3350 for the V6. You can probably add 100 lb. for a convertible. Ford is using a lot more aluminum in the new model to keep the weight from growing. We should see some real numbers sometime this spring.
